Located in the renovated old train station, the museum "Regards sur le Passé" retraces the geographical, historical and sociological evolution of the commune through numerous objects, models, documents, photographs, videos and explanatory panels. The church of Ste Hélène d'Hourtin was built in 1868 as a successor to the old church of Ste Hélène de l'Etang near Carcans, then to the first church on the market square of Hourtin.
