Hide-and-seek in the Médoc is a family treasure hunt. By bike or by car, solve the riddles through the town of Le Porge and discover key places! Go through the church in the village centre and then head towards the ocean to the Lentrade hut. You will then set off towards the route de la jenny to discover the lock at the place called Le Pas-du-Bouc. Once you have found the riddles and the password, we will meet you at the Tourist Office, the Town Hall or the library to come and get your surprise. It's up to you!

Between forest and swamp, it offers exceptional views to discover animal and plant species. 2.5 km circuit comprising a 1.8km loop, a 700m trail and a platform on the lake. To get there? Go with family, shod in sneakers or boots, Bourg-Street South in Lacanau city. At the edge of the trail, an explanatory panel will immerse you in the discovery, then let yourself be guided by "stopping observations" points. Want to learn more? From Lacanau, you head Moutchic by the cycle track. There is something for 5km You leave Lacanau via Huga and attack a slight false flat to the junction with the track going towards Cousseau on the left. Continue straight, the track becomes flat and even rolling. In Moutchic, turn right on the beach to find the bike path to Carreyre. The track crosses the road at the home of Commander. Continue for 5 km and turn right to return to Lacanau along the long straight. Once past the sewage plant, you enter the forest and follow the track until Baganais district where you will find the signs to reach your holiday destination.

The plane tree of the Porge Church is located on the Place Saint-Seurin It was planted at the end of the 19th century and is thus estimated to be about 143 years old (in 2015) and 4.75 metres in circumference In 2003, it was awarded the label of Remarkable Tree of France by the association A.R.B.R.E.S..

Situated on the way to Santiago de Compostela (English way), this 19th century church contains pieces listed as Historic Monuments: painted wooden Christ and statue of St Eutrope from the 17th century, Virgin and Child from the 18th century and a large painting of St Eutrope. Beautiful stained glass windows offered by the richest local families also call for contemplation. A lively place where the pilgrims of St Jacques can inscribe their origin on a world map.

The canal du Porge connects the Lacanau pond to the Arcachon Basin. It is equipped with six locks and the current is weak. Canoeing, kayaking and paddling are the only nautical activities allowed, only in the area between the Pas-du-Bouc lock and the Langouarde lock Water activities are permitted from April 15 to October 15 inclusive, from sunrise to sunset The single point of water launch and exit is located upstream of the Pas-du-Bouc lock.

During the wars of the Revolution and the Empire, in fear of an English landing, the Basin had no less than one fort and five batteries, some of whose cannons were found. These were restored and installed near the pier.

Our plantation Les Jardins Bio du Médoc, a producer of cultivated blueberries, offers to supply you with blueberries for all your stores during June and July (depending on berry ripeness). Houses built in 1924 by the architect Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier, and his cousin and partner Pierre Jeanneret. These houses are part of a workers' housing estate of ten dwellings (known as the "Moroccan" district), intended for the workers of a factory producing wooden crates for sugar packaging, a factory belonging to the sugar industrialist Henry Frugès. Seven houses of this housing estate are protected by historical monuments. They are all inhabited and cannot be visited inside.
