Starting from Barbazan Lake, you will ride along the banks of the Garonne on smooth, accessible trails. This is an easy route. However, take care when crossing the two national roads, especially if you are travelling with children.

Starting from Barbazan Lake, this hike will take you around the village. You will see some beautiful views and pass by some unique spots. A strange hike! Starting and finishing at the glacial lake, which is rare at this altitude, you can also admire the unfinished chapel, which looks like something out of Harry Potter, and the pretty and quirky Art Deco refreshment bar in the thermal park.

It is an old bastide founded in the 13th century by the Cistercian monks of Nizors Abbey. The town of Boulogne, with two coats of arms, is an ancient bastide founded in the 13th century by the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of Nizors. Nestled between Gascony and the Pyrenees, in the Pays de Comminges. The town centre, dominated by the church of Notre Dame de l'Assomption, still houses vestiges of this bastide. Rich in this historical past, Boulogne sur Gesse remains the guarantor of local traditions and know-how. Surrounded by lakes, wooded and protected areas, this rural village is a peaceful holiday resort where its undulating landscapes form a restful area.

Hall built according to the project of the architect Achille Ambialet, in 1869. The town hall forms a monumental ensemble that brings together the functions of market, town hall and justice. It is a mixed structure with a main facade of dressed stone with traditional architectural decoration, and a metal structure for the market area.

In 1283, Abbot Taillefer, superior of the Cistercian abbey of Nizors, founded the bastide town of Boulogne. The church was started around this time but finalised later. It used to have a rectangular plan. Side chapels were added in the 15th century. The base of the square tower forms a vaulted porch, supported by large square pillars. The spire above the bell tower was destroyed by lightning in 1883 and rebuilt in 1890. The lower part is one of the rare testimonies of 14th century bastide architecture.

This is a Roman building from the 11th and 12th Centuries. The Collégiale is an important Comminges religious site with its cloister and chapter house, which was one of the cathedral chapters, the clerics, established by Bishop Bertrand. Built in the 11th century and raised in the 12th century, the Collegiate Church houses a remarkable collection of Romanesque sculptures (capitals and bas-reliefs). You can also admire the three Aubusson tapestries dating from the middle of the 18th century, and the 17th-century organs with a Cavaillé-Coll instrument. The bell tower, built in the 19th century, has one of the finest carillonx in the Midi-Pyrénées region. Discover the cloister and chapter house (12th-13th centuries). Plus bas, à l'intersection avec une piste plus large, tournez à gauche et redescendez en direction de la route goudronnée en bas du chemin de croix.Alternative : possibilité lorsque vous êtes à la chapelle, de redescendre vers votre véhicule en empruntant la route goudronnée qui suit le calvaire. A la croix VII, vue panoramique sur le village de Valentine, la centrale EDF, le lac de Sède.

The design of the château was entrusted to Louis Garros, an architect from Bordeaux. For the park, Baron de Lassus called upon the Bülher brothers, creators of the park of the "tête d'Or" in Lyon, the Borély park in Marseille and the Talleyrand property in Valençay... In 1902, the castle was extended to the east by a chapel whose stained glass windows, marbles and the Sacred Heart of L. Barrias can be admired. In 1912, the landscape gardener René Édouard André inserted two French-style flowerbeds: one to the north of the castle, the other to the south from which one can discover the view of the Pyrenees mountain range so loved by Bertrand de Lassus. Opened a year and a half ago on the village square in Roquefort-sur-Garonne, it's a one-stop shop with a bar/coffee corner where you can enjoy craft beers and wine, as well as coffee and tea from local producers. You'll also find a delicatessen corner stocked with local and south-western products, as well as the press (Dépêche and Gazette du Comminges), a bread depot and, more recently, the Française des Jeux. I also offer 'Anti-Gaspi' baskets. Charcuterie and cheese platters are available for evenings organised in the bar. Other boards can also be made depending on what's available and what's in season.

Each year we have continued to renovate and equip the 90m2 gîte so that we can offer quality tourist accommodation at a low price. Over four seasons, we've noticed that women and LGBT+ people don't always feel comfortable in mixed dormitories. In fact, as we only have one dormitory, we haven't always been able to promise a safe space when asked. With a view to reopening in 2025, we are going to reorganise the space so that we have a larger, more welcoming dormitory, as well as a private room that can accommodate a couple/family or a small group of friends. We would like to make our space available for mixed periods for women and LGBT+ people, so that we can welcome them in a more inclusive, respectful and secure facility. The Montréjeau lake is just 3km away (30 minutes on foot or 15 minutes by bike) for swimming, water sports and golf. Saint-Pé-D'Ardet natural lake 17km away, formed in an ancient volcano. Bagnères-de-Luchon (skiing and thermal baths), Le Mourtis and Spain are a 40-minute drive away. If you want to play pétanque, badminton, jump on the trampoline, play table tennis or enjoy the hammock, anything is possible!
