In the Pays d'Avre, d'Eure et d'Iton, the 9-km long (5 miles) Greenway Les Bois Francs provides relaxation for both the mind and the body. Rural landscapes, sweet and fresh undergrowth, traces testifying to the Roman or Norman histories, visit of Verneuil-sur-Avre, a former fortified city located on the border of the Duchy of Normandy and the Kingdom of France, etc.: this walk takes you to experience art, history and nature.

This walk goes through the Woods of Saint Christophe where there often are horse riders. You will walk on the former royal ditches, medieval remains of the border between France and Normandy. This walk combines beautiful landscapes with plains and forests as well as heritage sites such as the pretty little church in Saint-Christophe-sur-Avre.

This hike is the second stage of an 8-day, 220-km circuit, the Tour des Collines du Perche. During this second stage, you will gradually leave the Vallée de l’Huisne and enter the forest area with its foothills, coming out at Bretoncelles before going back in and then reaching the village of Moutiers-au-Perche, which is nestled in the Vallée de la Corbionne.

This trail offers a glimpse of the GR22 hiking trail that links Paris to the Mont-St-Michel and allows visitors to enjoy the joys of nature at the beginning of spring. From the bottom of the Avre valley, supplied by its tributary, the Meuvette, walkers get to the wooded hillsides - listed for the diversity of species found there - and admire the wet meadows. This watery landscape also gives pride of place to heritage sites.

La Moussetière Pepperpot Turrets A journey back in time among the forest and bocages. You will admire the manor houses, including those in La Moussetière, with round pepperpot turrets, and discover some of the curiosities of the Remalard area.

All along this walk, you will go through fertile farmland dotted with ponds and peaceful hamlets. The walking trail, which goes around the Domaine d’Hellenvilliers, allows you to admire the park and the manor house, whose origin goes back to the 9th century and where Henry IV of France stayed before the battle of Ivry.

Say it with flowers! Explore the Perche area’s villages in bloom. A well-being route where the beauty of plants and flowers is combined with remarkable architectural heritage. Admire the castles and manor houses in Boissy-Maugis, Maison-Maugis and Monceaux-au-Perche, the impressive “cathedral of the fields” in La Chapelle-Montligeon and Réno-Valdieu’s majestic forest.

The village of Bourth was built along a Roman road on the bank of the river Iton. The walk will take you through the centre of the village with its beautiful houses and remnants of its industrial past. You will also follow paths in the Iton valley and in the forest of Bourth (600 ha), the green area of this little Noman village.

With a peaceful river and harmonious flower fields in the background, the Malicorne walking trail takes visitors to explore the elegant village of Francheville, nestled in the Iton valley, and its ironwork heritage, and then reveals the numerous gems hidden in this lovely and typically Norman corner of countryside: chapel and little bridge, rural housing, ponds, etc.

With Angerville International Karting Centre, RACING KART ORGANISATION boasts one of Europe's biggest karting facilities for both recreational and competition karting.

Richard Piriou established his own poultry farm in 2014, on the family farm in Guillerval in the south of Essonne. Son of farmers, this poultry farmer raises bare-necked chickens, farm guineafowls, as well as capons for the end of year celebrations. All are raised in a natural outdoor setting and wander through a grassy path of several dozen hectares. The farmer also cultivates cereals on part of his farm according to a sustainable agriculture. Richard's poultry are fed with wheat and corn from the farm but also with oilseeds and protein crops. Richard Priou sells his products on the markets of Etampes or Auvers-Saint-Georges (every other Saturday morning) and then on the markets of Guillerval or Saint-Cyr-la-Rivière (every other Saturday afternoon). It is also possible to place an order directly with the breeder and collect the poultry from the farm.

The church was built in 1865 by the abbot Migorel. As it is listed as a "Monument Historique", the building is protected. Its bell tower is quite unique, and is home to the virgin Mary and the two little kids from Savoy: Maximon and Mélanie.

At the heart of the Perche regional natural Park, come and visit a small, family-run goat farm, on an authentic estate in Corbionne Valley. Malvina sells soaps & cosmetics made from goat’s milk, wool for knitting and her mohair creations using the hair from her angora goats. With a prior booking, take a guided tour of the farm and the various production workshops (1.5 hour tour).

This site was originally a production facility before being transformed into a memorial to the men, women, and children who worked in the forges. The owners offer a guided tour to discover the fantastic history of the Longny forges. Reservation required.

Built on the hillside of a mountain, overlooking the village, the chapel is an example of the peak in Renaissance buildings of the Perche.

Alain Vernholes can tell you a story about each and every one of the 500 trees he himself has planted on his lande in Boiscorde, Rémalard. Weather permitting, the guided tours take place every Sunday afternoon from mid-September to mid-November, with the point of departure at the Tourist Office.

Boiscorde Manor spans over several buildings dating from the 15th and 16th Centuries. The entrance is flanked by two round towers , one of which incorporates a massive dovecote. The Manor can be visited from the outside, and its gable boasts some beautiful mullion windows.
