The hike starts with a very progressive ascent to the crossroads Le Fays 1. Continue towards Les Quatres Chemins 2, then Le Comptoir à Moutons 3 by a very nice path with numerous points of view which leads to Col Fauchard 4. From there, always following the yellow-green markings, the itinerary goes down slightly to the Col de l'Abbaye 5. Take the direction of Pas de la Roche 7 by the GR 95 (white-red markings), go to the crossroads L'Allier 6 and then take the forest track for a moment. At Pas de la Roche, finish the circuit by the small road that leads to the car park of the Abbey.

Discover on two wheels, the beauties and scents of a charming small village typical of the Diois Departure from the village of Marignac-en-Diois (parking nearby). Follow the direction of Die but especially the beacons indicating the circuit n ° 3 on the different directional panels along the course.At Jayon, join Les Pérouses before turning left onto Les Chambards and Les Combes.Continue towards the hamlet of La Rollandière to emerge at the intersection of Genêts. From there, always follow the yellow and green signs to go to La Cabane Rouge, then descend gradually to Font Payanne. You are then again on the route of the Grande Traversée du Vercors mountain bike / equestrian that you borrow up to the village.

Go on the trail of the Crête de Ramiat which dominates a part of the valley of the Drôme. The start of this beautiful hike takes place from the village of Sainte-Croix. At the Pont de la Sure 1, take on the left the small road that leads to the places "Les Morins" and then "L'Eguillot". From there, take the forest road which climbs gradually sometimes in undergrowth sometimes in the middle of glades to finally reach the crossroads of Pallaire 2. Crest Route with breathtaking scenery From the tunnel carpark (1254m), take the old Roman road which overlooks the Diois, pass under the departure of the Via Ferrata, path in cornice carved in the rock. Then, go under a canopy to quickly reach a snowy valley. Shoot full North for Col de Chironne 1 (1416m). Climb south-west the slight slope leaving on the right the cross-country ski run that runs to Vassieux-en-Vercors. At point 1467m on the IGN map, join the southern edge of the plateau above the Rochers de Chironne. Follow the ridge that runs into the forest (south-west orientation). After about 1h30, reach the But de Aiglette 2 (1524m).Return:The return is identical to the itinerary of the outward journey.

The return to Nonières is effected by the GR 93.

The Saint-Marcel gate is a fortified gate built in the 3rd century with the ramparts of Die. It was the main gateway into the city. Since 1862, it is classified as a historical monument.

On the slopes of the Glandasse mountain, the abbey of Valcroissant was founded around 1188, it takes its name from the stream La Valcroissant which flows nearby. The construction of the abbey, between the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century, combines the characteristic forms of Romanesque art with the beginnings of the Gothic. The lack of financial resources and the difficulties of the 15th and 16th centuries accelerated the deterioration of buildings. Beginning in 1568, the abbey no longer had a function as a farm.This Cistercian abbey has been classified as a historical monument since 1971. Many restoration works have since been carried out by the owners in collaboration with the association "Friends of Valcroissant".

Adjacent to the foothills of the southern Vercors, sun-drenched and surrounded by vineyards. Laval d 'Aix can boast of having on its territory the Dome or Pic Ferré, climax (2041 m) of the mountain of Glandasse.

The Mountain of Glandasse is particularly appreciated of the ibexes that were gradually reintroduced in the Vercors, from 1989.This majestic hoof can weigh up to 120 kilos, with horns that can exceed 90 cm (for males). Sexual dimorphism is important. The males are provided with a goatee and above all imposing horns arched and adorned with beads. Those of the females are much shorter. The coat of males is generally darker than that of females, varying from chocolate brown to gray depending on the season.

The mountain of Glandasse dominates the Diois from the top of its 2,041 meters. Its cliffs are popular for climbing, while the plateau at its summit is a place of estive for many sheep. Included in the nature reserve of the Hauts Plateaux of the Vercors, the fauna and flora are rich. From the Col des Caux, it is the Roc d'Ambane (1,958 m) that stands in front of you.

The state forest of Glandasse covers more than 21 km². Under Mediterranean influence, there are mainly oaks and black pines. The latter, because of their relative rusticity and good tolerance to the soil, were a kind of choice in the reforestation work as part of the Mountain Restoration Policy (RTM) Administration of Water and Forests at the beginning of the twentieth century to fight erosion of the slopes.

The Châtillon-en-Diois vineyard produces wines of Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC). It comprises only 65 hectares of vines, making it one of the smallest appellations. The vineyard extends over the foothills of the Vercors, which protects it from the winds of the North. It produces red and rosé wines from gamay syrah and pinot noir grapes, as well as white wine from aligoté and chardonnay grape varieties.

The village of Ponet is leaned against the mountain of Desse, linking with the municipality of Marignac. The village was built around its old castle. The old stone houses and the small Romanesque church give all its charm to this small village.

The shelter of the pass of Vassieux is an unguarded shelter built in 1976 and restored in 2014-2015 by the Regional Natural Park of Vercors.With a maximum capacity of 15 people, it is open all year and free of access. However, as with most shelter huts in the territory, certain rules must be respected if the service is to last for a long time (most of them are recalled to you inside the shelter).

A short distance from the Hauts-plateaux at 1540 m, the shelter of the Pison is a shack in sheet metal, able to accomodate 6 people. It has a stove.

At the crossroads of several important trails, the Cabin de Pre Peyret is one of the most frequented of the massif. Located at the entrance of the high plateaus at 1600 m, this unguarded stone hut can accommodate 10 people for the night. It has a stove.The place exudes an old tradition of welcome because it is an old cabaret where those who were penniless went to drink at the Fountain of the Endettés, which bears his name well.

A rustic cabin located at the entrance of the Hauts-Plateaux Nature Reserve not far from the Pas de l'Essaure, in the valley Combau.It is composed of a basic common room on the ground floor with table and wood stove (to envisage small dry wood) and a floor on the floor (sleeping of 10-15 people, to envisage mattress and sleeping bag ).There is water at 700 m but be careful, it is often dry!Remember to close the chalet at the time of departure (shutters and doors).

The cabin of the Aiguillettes is a former shepherd's hut dating back to the time when the pastoral units were smaller. This hut, open to the public, accommodates only 4 people by tightening a little and does not have a stove.

The Baraque of Veymont is an unguarded cabin of the Forest Service. It can accommodate 8 people for the night, but plan your equipment because it does not have mattresses or stove.

The shelter of Peyrouse (Abri de la Peyrouse) located on the balconies East of the Vercors is an unguarded stone hut, 2 places are planned to sleep there, but you will not find there water nor stove to warm you.
