This loop allows you to discover elements of the heritage of the commune of Tursac. A local association, Evasion Culturelle à Tursac, has carried out research to make this itinerary a "small heritage path". All along the route, the markers bear the association's logo. We will quote here some elements of reading of this small heritage.

This hilly itinerary takes the beautiful Peyrière path which offers a splendid view over the valley: the village of Tursac and the Château de Marzac. It then crosses the hills to reach the narrow Beune Valley.

This shaded loop around Les Eyzies de Tayac can easily be done with the family. A discovery of the hamlet of Tayac and its fortified church then a walk in the forest on a path overlooking the rocks and the Vézère.

Start from the caravan park. Despite its short distance, the first part of the route is tough and not very technical.

A loop that follows the meanders of the Vézère at Tursac and leaves the valley to enter the thick woods towards the plateaus before returning to the wide plain of the river. This itinerary offers a short version: 7,5 km for 2h30, and a long version : 11km for 4h00.

This very bucolic loop offers an itinerary through chestnut woods, on agricultural hills where meadows and walnut trees share the space.

A family walk to discover the small village of Sireuil perched on the hills above the Beunes valley.

From Terrasson-Lavilledieu to Limeuil, where the Vézère joins the Dordogne, the river runs through one of the most beautiful regions of the Périgord. This fifth stage will take you from Eyzies to Le Bugue. Located at the confluence of the Beune and the Vézère, the village of Les Eyzies is sometimes called the "world capital of prehistory". You will discover a multitude of archaeological sites such as the Cro-Magnon shelter, the Font de Gaume cave or the Pataud shelter. Information sites are also present in the village: the Pôle International de Préhistoire and the Musée National de Préhistoire. Then go to Le Bugue via the hamlet of Peuch and the village of St Cirq.

The intercommunal VéloRoute Voie Verte project aims to link the north and south of the valley (60km), from Limeuil to Aubas, and connect with other national VéloRoutes Voies Vertes at both ends: to the north, it links up with the Flow Vélo, an itinerary leading from Ile d'Aix to Sarlat La Canéda, via Coly-Saint-Amand. to the south, the route joins the VéloRoute Voie Verte - V91 - project, which runs along the Dordogne valley to the Lot and Gironde regions, partly on a low-traffic road from Les Eyzies to Aubas, via the famous Lascaux cave. More undulating, this itinerary is ideal for cyclists ready for a challenge, but also allows the less athletic to join the voie verte: a beautiful combination of natural landscapes and historic sites punctuate these routes.

The train station of Les Eyzies, located at 700 meters from the village center, allows direct access to the heart of the Vézère valley and to the heart of prehistory. Indeed, the village hosts an impressive density of prehistoric sites, or sites dedicated to prehistory. For walkers, the "Micoque loop" leads from the village under the high cliffs of Laugerie to the Micoque deposit, a site which has revealed traces of occupation dating back at least 350,000 years

The prehistoric deposit is found at the foot of the cliff. It has particular stone and bone tools and many works of art which have enabled the definition of a new period in the evolution of Cro-Magnon, which it has given its name to, the Magdalenian culture. Certainly from the 8th century, a population settled in what was then the height of comfort and safety. The ruins of a fairly large fortified castle illustrate the defensive aspects of the site. The inhabitants abandoned the site some years later with the growing popularity of the gas engine and the development of the railway and then returned, following age-old tradition.

7kms from Eyzies-de-Tayac and 15kms from Montignac-Lascaux, "La Ferme de la Brauge" campsite offers you a privileged location in the heart of the Vallée de l'Homme, located on its heights and benefiting from a panoramic view. While your children are feeding the animals, set up your camping equipment on one of the shady, pitches. Wooden chalets with a covered terrace and mobile homes are also available for rent. On site, there is no lack of activities: swimming pool and paddling pool, covered games room, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, pétanque, table football... The church of Tursac occupies a strategic location on the left bank of the Vézère. Built in the 12th century, it is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Its history allows us to observe the passage from a Romanesque parish church to a fortified church. The church of Tursac was completely restored in 2006.

The small village of Tursac is situated on a wide plain on the banks of the Vézère, not far from the village of Les Eyzies de Tayac, the world capital of prehistory and the Lascaux cave. L'élevage d'oies des granges is a family farm located in Tursac, Vézère valley in Périgord noir. All the geese raised and force-fed on the farm are canned on site and sold exclusively in our shop or sent by us via our online shop. "In the Beune Valley, just off Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, the Roc de Cazelle caves are nestled within the Le Goulet Valley, where the famous Vénus de Sireuil statue was excavated. Through representations of scenes from daily life as it was 12,000 years ago, the prehistoric park of the Roc de Cazelle caves invites you to follow in the footsteps of our distant ancestors, the hunter-gatherers of the Upper Palaeolithic. The beginning of the circuit reveals the rock shelters where prehistoric man lived and which protected him from wild animals such as cave bears and mammoths. You will then cross through the caves.

In the Vézère Valley, Domaine Lespinasse is a renovated farmhouse comprising two non-communicating buildings opening onto a central courtyard and covered terrace. The Domaine Lespinasse gite offers all modern comforts and has six bedrooms for twelve people.
