During this hike, you will follow the old railroad that linked Saint-Geniès to Salignac on this portion, part of which has become a beaver path. The walk ends in the White Rose Garden, with its garlands of flowers and flowerbeds, offering a unique view over the Dordogne countryside. Two parishes: one perched on the Carlucet mound and the other nestled in the hollow of a small valley, along a road skirting around a rocky mass "Le Roc" on which is probably erected a defensive element: Saint-Crépin. Saint-Crépin contains a strange cemetery with enfeus to which one reaches by the narthex of the church and whose construction was burials in and out of the church. Listed as a Historical Monument, this church was remarkably restored a short time ago and houses a very old font and a magnificent altarpiece One of the most surprising buildings is the magnificent castle of Lacypierre.

Duration: 2 h 30 / Distance: 6.6 km With the "discovery trails" initiated by Randoland at the request of the tourist office, no more walks where the child drags his feet at a distance from the group. Thanks to the circuit sheets, it is he who assumes the role of guide-explorer. The cards are designed as a treasure hunt to discover a historical and natural heritage which are so many clues to solve riddles. For each route, three levels are proposed. Each child finds a sheet adapted to his or her age (4/6, 7/9, 9/12). A mascot, the Rando inspector, accompanies and guides the children on the walk to help them solve the riddles. The puzzle cards can be picked up at the tourist office (many rewards for the children). A map on the discovery routes will also be available for the adults.

Near Sarlat, less than six kilometres away, around a charming little village, is the village of Proissans. Proissans is a peaceful commune where it is good to come on holiday in its open-air hotels, farm inns, gîtes and bed and breakfast. You can enjoy pleasant walks from Maneyrals, to La Roussie, along the Enéa river or around its pond. Proissans is essentially an agricultural place, its land produces tobacco, corn and walnut trees. The country is rich in fertile land. Its stone houses rival each other in charm and in the austere beauty that the Perigord sun illuminates with ochre. You will also find the château de la Roussie, which dates from the 15th and 16th centuries and is listed as a historical monument (private).
