Village de Proissans

Near Sarlat, less than six kilometres away, around a charming little village, is the village of Proissans. Proissans is a peaceful commune where it is good to come on holiday in its open-air hotels, farm inns, gîtes and bed and breakfast. You can enjoy pleasant walks from Maneyrals, to La Roussie, along the Enéa river or around its pond.
Proissans is essentially an agricultural place, its land produces tobacco, corn and walnut trees. The country is rich in fertile land. Its stone houses rival each other in charm and in the austere beauty that the Perigord sun illuminates with ochre. You will also find the château de la Roussie, which dates from the 15th and 16th centuries and is listed as a historical monument (private). The film Cinderella " A tout jamais " was shot in this castle.
