Located in the north-east of the department, on the borders of the Dordogne, the Haute-Vienne and the Corrèze, the Rouffiac leisure centre was built in 1983 on the Petite Loue. In a preserved natural environment, on the edge of one of the largest bodies of water in the Périgord, in the heart of a wooded park of 100 hectares in the Périgord Vert, you can walk freely around the pond on a 7km path. This shaded loop goes around the lake starting near the beach, and passes near the water ski lift. You can also take advantage of the various activities on the lake: supervised swimming, water ski lift, canoeing... Links marked out in green allow you to join the cultural sites around, paper mills of Vaux, forges of Savignac-Lédrier in the gorges of Auvézère, house of the Golden Apple in Lanouaille.

From the "Panneau d?Appel" sign near the church, go up into the village, then left between the houses. Continue until you reach the 707 road. Turn right, then left after 100 m.

The Auvézère valley flows at its entrance to the Dordogne in real gorges that can reach a depth of a hundred metres before calming down downstream from the village of Génis. Established in January 2022 in Saint Médard d'Excideuil, Tourenne is an organic farm. Crops are partly grown using animal traction, an ancestral method increasingly used in agriculture for its ecological value. Much less soil compaction than with a tractor, so the soil is more aerated, and investments are lower with simple, precise tools. A laying hen workshop helps us maintain the plots. My husband helps me on the farm on a daily basis. Concerned about my environment and the products we consume, I'd like to share my vegetables with you as the seasons go by. Our small vegetable farm is certified in Organic Agriculture. We produce various vegetables, small fruits and nuts. We raise, in full open air, 30 laying hens that we move on the farm. We transform a part of our production into jams, artisanal syrups, coulis, fruits in syrup, dehydrated products, walnut oil, gazpacho, ... and many other recipes which are created according to the ideas and the availability! The preservation of our soil and of the life which composes it are one of our priorities, that's why we practice a non-mechanized agriculture inspired by the technique of the MSV (Vegetable growing on living soil). La forge de Beausoleil: the farm as it was in the past! Come and discover a farm like no other. Here the chickens roam free in the yard, the stables are the same as they were 100 years ago. The cows are milked every day by hand and live their very long life peacefully. On the tasting side, the raw milk cheeses will delight your taste buds: camembert, bousette, crottin, tome de vache type montagne, butter, caillade. Our new farm ice cream made with milk for ice cream and full fruit sorbets. All our products are sold at the farm, every day from 5 to 7 pm. You can also find us on the market of Excideuil and Payzac. From June to September, upon registration, we organize a special visit from 5pm to 6:30pm (12 people maximum).

This young and dynamic team from the restaurant and bar business has brought novelty between local products, cuisine ripaille, specialties of Brittany with buckwheat pancakes and wheat pancakes prepared to order as well as elaborate cocktails with multiple colors and flavors.
