Cénac-et-Saint-Julien, the starting point of this hike, is located below the famous bastide of Domme, on the banks of the Dordogne river. Following the river along the cliffs called "pendoilles", you will reach La Roque-Gageac and Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, villages labelled among the "Most beautiful villages of France".

In this traditional village of the Périgord Noir, children will discover the life of the peasants of yesteryear through a discovery itinerary. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries, the church of Saint-Martin de Daglan has been remodelled many times. It is dedicated to Saint Martin, elected bishop of Tours in 371. This dedication attests that the parish is ancient and that it would exist since the Carolingian period. Of the original construction of the 11th and 12th centuries only the portal and some capitals remain today. The church consisted of a single nave and a small transept. During the reconstruction following the destruction of the Wars of Religion, chapels dedicated to local seigniorial families were added. At the end of the 19th century, taking advantage of the need for repairs, the church was extended by three bays. The bell-tower rises above the choir.

10 km south of Domme, in the Perigord Noir, discover the dry stone constructions of Daglan (walls, cabins and huts). Peasants built these as shelter for their tools and themselves at the end of the Hundred Year War. First of all you visit the museum retracing their history with an extensive collection an life-sized reproductions, then you go on a 3km walk during which ou will see 2 very famous wall cabins. Free entry.

Guillaume welcomes you in his typical Perigord farm, for a demonstration of force-feeding and free tasting. Sale of canned fattened ducks directly from the farm. You will also find it on the producers' markets of Bouzic, on the markets of Cénac, Daglan and Domme.
