Enjoy the quietness of the Pays de Fénelon through this hike that links Simeyrols to the beautiful village of Carlux, from which you will have beautiful views during your walk. From the signpost at the picnic area on the D47, turn right onto the D47, 150 meters further down, turn left towards "Nieudegat". Go around the housing estate and reach the cemetery by following a grassy path. The loop of Bernardies is a bucolic walk in the heart of the Pays de Fénelon. You will discover the beautiful forests and the small heritage of the village of Simeyrols. From the signpost located on the picnic area at the edge of the D47 road, walk along the picnic area, then the masonry fountain and take the grassy path on the left just after the fountain. 100 meters later, take the white path on the right. "This Green lane journey is quite shady and allows you to discover the Dordogne valley, typical villages of the Périgord Noir and also a beautiful viaduct on the river. From the medieval town of Sarlat (a town of Art and History), the forest offers a shady, downhill route, punctuated by rocky passages, to Carsac, a village overlooked by the Green lane. A few kilometres further on, a junction leads to Groléjac, crossing the Dordogne on a viaduct. You can also carry on along the same bank as far as the village of Aillac, then Peyrillac and Millac. From here, 3 km of footpaths will take you to Cazoulès, near Souillac. The starting point is close to the centre of Sarlat, within easy reach of the railway station. "

Saint-Vincent-le-Paluel is a peaceful and rural commune near Sarlat-La Canéda, a village crossed by the Enéa, a charming river full of fish, whose valley is classified as a protected area. The population of the commune has been growing since 1975. This evolution has led to a visible rejuvenation and marks the attractiveness of the town. The village of Saint-Vincent-le-Paluel consists of a 12th century church in Romanesque style with a bell-tower-wall. It has the shape of a Latin cross. Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Vincent are both represented on the carved wooden altarpiece. Close to the church we can see the ruins of a 13th century manor house built by Marguerite de Turenne. Two kilometres downstream, very well situated on a promontory, we can admire the Castle of Paluel which dates back to the 15th century .

In a splendid Périgord residence surrounded by landscaped grounds, Joëlle, Daniel and Florian Boucherie welcome you to La Garrigue Haute, a family farm since 1855 located in the commune of Prats-de-Carlux. Specialized in the breeding of geese and fattened ducks. Sale at the farm every day of the year. Possibility to eat in the farm inn (open in the evening only by appointment from Easter to All Saints' Day, closed on Sundays). Groups welcome for lunch by appointment. Transformation at the farm of the milk of our cows of Montbéliarde race in fresh product (cream, yoghourts...). Sale at the farm from Monday to Thursday from 8am to 12pm, from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 7pm. Friday from 8am to 10am and from 6pm to 7pm. Saturday from 18h to 19h. The farm can be visited by reservation.

Market gardeners since 2016, we produce about fifty seasonal vegetables and eggs, in organic farming. The marketing is done only in direct sale all year long at the farm from September to June: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 16h to 19h (18h30 during winter time), Saturday from 9h30 to 12h30. In July and August: idem with Wednesday in more from 16h to 19h.

Near Sarlat, less than six kilometres away, around a charming little village, is the village of Proissans. Proissans is a peaceful commune where it is good to come on holiday in its open-air hotels, farm inns, gîtes and bed and breakfast. You can enjoy pleasant walks from Maneyrals, to La Roussie, along the Enéa river or around its pond. Proissans is essentially an agricultural place, its land produces tobacco, corn and walnut trees. The country is rich in fertile land. Its stone houses rival each other in charm and in the austere beauty that the Perigord sun illuminates with ochre. You will also find the château de la Roussie, which dates from the 15th and 16th centuries and is listed as a historical monument (private).
