Saint-Vincent-le-Paluel is a peaceful and rural commune near Sarlat-La Canéda, a village crossed by the Enéa, a charming river full of fish, whose valley is classified as a protected area.
The population of the commune has been growing since 1975. This evolution has led to a visible rejuvenation and marks the attractiveness of the town.
The village of Saint-Vincent-le-Paluel consists of a 12th century church in Romanesque style with a bell-tower-wall. It has the shape of a Latin cross. Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Vincent are both represented on the carved wooden altarpiece. Close to the church we can see the ruins of a 13th century manor house built by Marguerite de Turenne. Two kilometres downstream, very well situated on a promontory, we can admire the Castle of Paluel which dates back to the 15th century .
