This 37.5 km itinerary on the Millevaches plateau takes in 2 towns that are essential to the history of tapestry in the Creuse: Aubusson and Felletin, both of which have a rich heritage. It first follows the GR ®4/GR®46 to take you into the Marche et Combrailles region, and returns to Felletin via the GR®89 chemin de Montaigne through the Creuse bocage. It can easily be done in 2 directions, and the stopover at Saint Pardoux d?Arnet makes it possible to roam over 2 days. This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Departing from a train station or TER bus stop, it allows you to join a walking or hiking itinerary, and take a stroll in ecomobility!

After 13 years of excavation and five years of development work, the commune of Moutier-Rozeille, population 430, near Aubusson, has just opened a 1.5 km archaeological trail to the public. Next to the Moutier-Rozeille church, a large signpost introduces visitors to the 1.5-kilometre trail, which takes them back in time. Visitors have two options: take a path that climbs to the heights of the village of Saint-Hilaire, or join it by road. There, amidst the houses of the village of Saint-Hilaire stand ruins, as if emerging from history. A small museum is also open to the public near the Moutier-Rozeille town hall.

Several excavation campaigns have uncovered this site, occupied by humans for 1800 years, and in which nearly 400 skeletons have been discovered, as well as sarcophagi, a Gallo-Roman mausoleum and a Merovingian tombstone. This site, with its great archaeological wealth, is not yet well-known.

A natural curiosity is this little trail which wraps you in vegetation as if to protect you from view, and intoxicates you with the unique scent of boxwood.

Located in the department of Puy-de-Dôme, it is, with its 1,885 meters of altitude, the highest peak of the Massif Central and the highest volcano in metropolitan France.

The first building trades school opened its doors in Felletin on October 1, 1911. By the 1940s, the school needed to relocate and find new premises, as it continued to grow. It was decided to build a large school complex on a 20-hectare site overlooking the town on route d'Aubusson. The first building permit was issued in 1947. The project was designed by architect Jean-Pierre Paquet from 1947 onwards, and construction continued until 1993. Despite the fact that it was built over a long period of time, the project was a highly homogeneous architectural achievement, reflecting utopian precepts (harmony of physical and intellectual work, social unity). It combines geometric shapes and modern and modern materials with traditional craftsmanship, in the tradition of the Creusois masons.

Puy de Dôme is a dormant volcano in the Puys range, in the Massif Central and has given its name to the départment. The Puys range is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2018.

This 13th-century funerary column once stood in the Beaumont cemetery, high above the town. It was moved to the current cemetery around 1930. Set on a mass of three circular steps, this octagonal hollow pile is pierced by eight windows and topped by an acute roof. It has an opening at 1.50 m from the base, which enabled the lantern to be operated. It was through this opening that the chain, wound on a pulley, was pulled to raise or lower the lamp that burned during the night. Listed as a historical monument in 1886. It was restored by students at Felletin's Lycée des Métiers du Bâtiment in 1986.
