This itinerary, which links the Atlantic to the Black Sea, runsalong the three longest European rivers, the Loire, the Rhine andthe Danube, from Nantes to Budapest. In Alsace, it runs along theRhone-Rhine canal through the Sundgau area, Mulhouse, Kembsand Huningue - Montreux-Vieux / Mulhouse station: 35 km- Mulhouse station / Huningue: 33 km- Total Elevation Montreux-Vieux / Huningue: 50m

A real sporting challenge, this route is aimed at experienced cyclists. Why not do it over two days? Take a break to explore the cultural and heritage attractions of Delle, Porrentruy, Boncourt and Brebotte. Mixing greenways (Eurovélo6, francovélosuisse, voie verte de la Largue in Alsace) and steep country roads, this is a challenging loop.

From Franche-Comté to Switzerland, EuroVelo 6 follows the Rhône-Rhine canal into Alsace, passing the impressive ladder of twelve locks of Valdieu-Lutran in its southern part. After arriving in Mulhouse, the route continues along the banks of the Rhône-Rhine Canal to Kembs. From there, via the towpath of the 403000002 into Germany and then into Switzerland to Basel.

Wend your way along the winding roads of Alsace interweaving through the network of villages that make up this trail along the watershed. At the heart of Sundgau, you will take the former towpaths of the Rhône-to-Rhine Canal with locks dotted along the way (away from the road and rail routes linking Bourgogne and Alsace).

As this trail crosses the Strasbourg – Molsheim – St Dié and Strasbourg – Sélestat – Colmar railway lines, it can be done stage by stage and you can easily return to your starting point.

Devised by the pupils of Wolfersdorf school, this trail enables you to explore and get to know the people that inhabit the village woods. Access to the trail is via the Lenzweg path (red light near the Town Hall/school), about 2 km from the centre of the village.

The House of Nature discovery path, will help you find educational facilities, small games, panels on organic gardening, the spiral of scents, the pond, the hive, etc. A booklet allows you to follow all the routes! Free laminated copies are available at the entrance. Please return them at the end of your walk. You can also take one home by asking at the reception desk!

During this itinerary you will discover the Largue valley with its myriad lakes. Along the Largue cycle track, the Altenach Maison de la Nature and the Hindlingen stork sanctuary give you the chance to stop off for a little while. The itinerary goes through Hirtzbach, a typical Sundgau village on the Ill river, with pretty floral decorations. From Carspach to Altenach there are views over peaceful forest for you to admire.

This itinerary gives you an unusual way of visiting the Sundgau. It goes through villages that not all cyclists know, as an interesting alternative,  giving you some of the feel of the neighbouring Franche-Comté region. It uses the Nantes-Budapest bicycle route along the Rhône/Rhine canal. The numerous locks offer a fine show from the towpath.

This greenway, accessible from the Euro Velo 6, which runs along the Rhone-Rhine canal, uses an old railroad line. It runs from Pfetterhouse to Dannemarie, down a gentle slope through the Largue valley, with its many ponds and typical Sundgau villages. Don't hesitate to make a detour into the heart of the valley's charming little villages, as this Voie Verte, which is very shady and pleasant in summer, runs right through the countryside outside the villages.

FROM LAUSANNE, DISCOVER THE TOWN OF MONTREUX AND THE MEDIEVAL CHILLON CASTLE! DEPARTING FROM LAUSANNE, DISCOVER THE TOWN OF MONTREUX AND THE MEDIEVAL CHILLON CASTLE!  Departing from Lausanne, climb on board your bus and head to the town of Vevey on Lake Geneva. If the weather allows, climb on board a steamboat and cross the lake to reach Chillon Castle. Make the most of a guided tour of this fortified castle, built in the 16th century and hidden by Lake Geneva!  After your visit, you will head back towards Montreux by bus. You will make a stop to enjoy some free time in the town. At the heart of the town, make the most of the unique and relaxing atmosphere in the centre of the Swiss Riviera. Do some shopping or simply soak up the town’s “jazzy” atmosphere.  Then get back on your bus and head to Lausanne at the end of the day. THIS ACTIVITY IS AVAILABLE BETWEEN MARCH AND DECEMBER

DEPARTING FROM LAUSANNE, HEAD TO THE MEDIEVAL TOWN OF GRUYÈRES, HOME TO THE FAMOUS SWISS CHEESE! Departing from Lausanne, head to the medieval town of Gruyères, home to the famous Swiss cheese!  Leave Lausanne by bus and climb up into the alpine pastures to reach Gruyères.  After a tour around the town, your guide will take you to a Swiss chocolate factory to show you how famous Swiss chocolate is made.  Then head to an old alpine cheese factory. Enjoy a Swiss cheese tasting and learn more about the national dish: fondue.  Learn to make your own Swiss fondue and try the traditional dish.  After your meal, relax and climb on board the Golden Express, a panoramic train which crosses the alpine pastures and the heights of Lake Geneva. Enjoy incredible views of the lake and the Alps. When you get off the train, get back on your bus and head to Lavaux and its terraced vineyards. With its pedestrian city center Masevaux has become a very welcoming city. Flowered city with 4 flowers - national grand prix in 2000 and the fleur d'Or in 2015. Remains of the old Abbey of Masevaux, artisanal and industrial tools. Opening of the museum in summer with a themed exhibition, the Museum Night and the Heritage Days.

The church was built in 1786, when the first walls were constructed, carks appeared on them, stopping work for many years.It was only in 1837 that wok started again with the architect Kuen, finishing in 1842. In 1966 a great fire entirely destroyed the church. It took fice years to rebuild it again , in the original noeclassical design. Before the great fire the church housed the famous organs built by the Callinet brothers.The largest were as large as the Nave. The largest that the Callinet's had ever (19m). A new organ was built in 1975 by Akfred Kern from Strasbourg, completed with a Schwenkedel heart organ (1972). Thanks to both of these instruments, the International Organ festival has taken place in Masevaux since 1977, contributing to Masevaux's renown.

The Faience Factory of Doller is a small artisanal company specialized in the work of the earth. It produces art pottery and objects used in dowsing. Some of our achievements are presented and can be ordered on this site others are to discover in our shop open from Tuesday to Friday or on our Facebook page: Faïencerie de la Doller. Guided tours of the pottery workshop on reservation. Every last weekend of August, there is the Potters' Market, a gathering of 45 exhibitors with entertainment and Raku shows for 3 days!
