Depuis l'aire d'accueil de la petite gare, le chemin balisé à travers la Garenne du Puy Grolier conduit aux anciennes carderies. Le pont au dessus de la Vézère franchi, le décor de verdure et d'eau se prolonge sur l'autre rive et parvient, sous les ombrages, à la Base de la Minoterie, Station Sports Nature qui offre de multiples activités. Le circuit se poursuit par la rue de l'abreuvoir qui monte vers la ville ancienne. Puis on traverse à nouveau la Vézère par le Pont Turgot pour rejoindre le point de départ. Le parcours est ponctué de panneaux relatant la vie et l’œuvre de Simone De Beauvoir, philosophe et écrivain (1908-1986), prix Goncourt 1954, qui a passé une partie de ses vacances durant son enfance, tout près d'ici. Partout, dans l'eau verte des pêcheries, dans la houle des prairies, sous les fougères qui coupent, au creux des taillis se cachaient des trésors que je brûlais de découvrir." This 68 km sportive route starts in Pompadour, famous for its national stud farm and its imposing castle, then the former property of the favourite marquise of Louis XV. After a few kilometres, the route takes you to Uzerche, a town of character described as the "pearl of the Limousin" by the writer Arthur Young. The fortified town has its origins in the Gallic period and is home to many architectural treasures, such as the unmissable Saint-Pierre abbey church with its unique octagonal bell tower. The journey continues in style with a visit to Ségur-le-Château, which has been awarded the title of "Most Beautiful Village in France". It is up to you to fall under the spell of this picturesque medieval town, whose castle remains still seem to protect the village from the top of its hill. All along your journey, you will be amazed by the diversity and richness of the landscape.

After setting off from Place de la République, near the town hall, and passing by the viewpoint indicator facing the Monédières mountains, you can admire the Couade, the town's emblem, enthroned on the well near the church. Wooded, shady paths lead you to the Rechèze pond and the Chartreuse du Glandier, which you overlook as you climb towards the village of Grange Vieille.

Go ahead the old slate quarries (Natura 2000 site). A view on the circuit, the highest of seven viaducts remarquable structure built in 1872. It has 8 arches which are 25 m, for a length of 285 m and a height of 58 m.

Le Circuit des Vitraux prend son nom des vitraux situés à son point de départ dans l’église Saint Martial. Ainsi après avoir admiré la lumière sublimée par Kim En Joong, artiste de renommée internationale, on peut s’insinuer dans la pénombre des bois qui le long du cours d’eau de la Loyre ont été un haut lieu de la Résistance dont le souvenir est marqué sur place par la stèle érigée en mémoire.

Beautiful views throughout the circuit. The passage on the way called "Marquise" is remarquable because the path follows perfectly the crest of hills; the daughter of the Marquis of Pompadour would have participated to the track creation. The return is by the Rift of Malaval.

This small town is famous for its castle, offered by Louis XV to his mistress Jeanne Le Normant d'Etiolles. Pompadour is also renowned as the home of France's National Stud, as well as a Mare Farm, unique in France. The cradle of the Anglo-Arab breed, Pompadour has been the headquarters of an Equestrian Institute since 1976, and is the venue for several famous horse races. Horse-racing, cross-country racing and steeple-chases take place here from the last weekend in June to September.

Built in the 16C as a collegiate church by Geoffroy de Pompadour, the bishop of Le Puy, St-Blaise chapel is the parish church of the Pays de Pompadour. As part of its restoration, the chapel interior was entrusted to the artist André Brasilier who spent almost five years working on a monumental wall painting of over 300m² in size, which depicts stories from the Bible.

The priory church of Arnac, which was completely restored in the 19th century, is classified as an Historical Monument. The original parish church was dedicated to St Peter. At the beginning of the 11th century it was rebuilt by Lord Guy de Lastours and his wife who founded a priory there. It was renamed because of the arrival of St Pardoux's relics.

This church has been known under the name of Saint Stephen since 1171. Saint Stephen: lived in the 1st century: disciple of the apostles, he is considered as the first martyr. Like the surrounding churches, it was pillaged by English troops at the end of the 12th century and rebuilt in the following century. It has underwent numerous works: raising the bell tower, enlarging the nave, etc. In 1910, it was classified as a historical monument. It is a Romanesque style church with 22 historiated capitals dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. The cross at the side of the church is shaped like a "pattée" because it is flared at the ends. The Maison Renaissance is also known as the Maison des Archiprêtres. The Archpriesthood of Lubersac covered 47 parishes (from Coussac-Bonneval to St-Pantaléon de Larche). This house housed both the parish church of St-Étienne and the branch church of St-Hilaire. It housed parish priests, archpriests, vicars and abbots. It was the 1st presbytery in Lubersac. The arcaded façade and sculptures date from the late 15th and early 16th centuries, and are the work of Italian sculptors who worked at Château du Montal in the Lot department. After the canonically ordained priests, the Maison Renaissance housed the 10 swearing priests who, between 1791 and 1793, took an oath "to the nation". The town hall moved in several times, as did the Justice of the Peace. The façade, roof and staircase tower have been listed since 2003. The Renaissance house is only visible from the outside.
