Come and discover Saint-Michel de Frigolet Abbey , in the heart of the Montagnette massif! From the car park, head for the Saint-Michel de Frigolet Abbey. Take the path on the right that goes along the wall. Follow the rocky track towards "Boulbon 1h", then 100 m after the trail on the left. At the next intersection, continue in the middle of the kermes oaks to the track to cross twice. 1- At the next crossing, follow the indication "Boulbon 50mn". After the small collar, go straight down, then climb a second hill. Shortly after, cross the drivable track at the end of the valley to go up on the hill opposite. Cross successively two other valleys. Continue, leaving the basin on the left. 100 m after, cross a track, then take the path towards a factory chimney visible in the distance. 2- Then descend to Boulbon, through the valley of Saint-Michel. At the end of this gorge, turn right and follow the marking of red dots to access the Bonnet mill and its panorama (30 min return trip). Once back at the foot of the gorges, reach the village by the Gaston de Raousset street. 3- At the junction of the end of this street (fire hydrant), take the left for Barri street, then the second right on Météline street. Continue on the Breuil path, to the road. 250 m after the purification plant, turn on the road on the left marked PR (yellow), then find the road again on 100 m. 4- Take the intersection and follow “Pas de Bouquet” path. After 2 km, turn left towards "Saint-Michel de Frigolet abbey 1h40" by the San Salvador path. Continue for about 3 km. 5- At the highest point of the Montagnette (San Salvador, 161 m), dive by a small path on the right. At the crossing in "T” form then take a left. At the next two crossroads, always take the left. 6- Turn right on the track, then at the junction forming a triangle continue to the right. Find shortly after the departure path, "abbey of Saint-Michel of Frigolet 10mn".

Les Castillones" is the name of the ridge that proudly dominates the village from the west. Discover an exceptional panorama going from the Dentelles de Montmirail to the Mont Lozère passing by the Mont Ventoux, all in the heady scents of the garrigue. From the parking lot on avenue de la République, go to the place des Halles. Turn right on rue Henri Pitot then turn right to reach avenue Jean Moulin (sign "Aramon-Le Choisity") Turn left to take "l'avenue de la Gare" then left "le chemin des amandiers". Follow the red and white markings of the GR42. Turn right on "le chemin des oliviers". Pass over the railroad tracks and continue straight ahead. At the intersection turn right "chemin de plane d'houmé" and continue straight on for 2.6km (sportive climb). You will pass near the signs "Croix de Garbure", "Les Rompudes", "Combes de Gibarau" and "Taoule Messe". At the "Portail de la Planet d'Oume" turn left and follow the path (yellow markings) for 2km. At the sign "Les Castillones" turn left and continue the path for 1.4km. At the signpost "Quartier du Fangas" go straight on for 300m then turn left at the signpost "Valorière" to return to the village of Aramon by the "Croix de Garbure". Then take the path of the departure (red and white markings).

If you want to cycle from the shores of Lake Geneva to the beaches of the Mediterranean along the Rhône River, here's the ViaRhôna! On this section, you'll set off from Avignon or Beaucaire, passing through Aramon. The route takes you gently from Beaucaire (Ville d'Art et d'Histoire) via the Pont du Gard greenway. You'll then zigzag through vineyards and orchards to reach Aramon, a town strongly marked by the presence of water. The prosperity of its port in the 17th century led to the construction of numerous mansions by Forton, Jossaud, Posquières, Laudun, Saint-Jean and Choisity. You then travel along the banks of the Rhône to the city of the Popes, Avignon. Departure from the Beaucaire Arena. Take the Chemin de Marguilliers to the roundabout just outside Beaucaire to get back on the voie verte. Voie verte from Beaucaire to Montfrin (after Comps) Turn right off the greenway onto route de Jonquières. Cross the bridge, then turn right, Drive alongside the TGV line, then turn right to cross the TGV line ( Caution ) Cross the river "Le Briançon" then turn left Turn right at the 2nd intersection and continue to Aramon. In the village, go to the Halte Fluviale (on the right), where you'll join the Voie verte (on the left) from the TGV bridges along the river. At the end, turn left onto the road that diverges from the river, passing the TGV bridges at Les Angles. At the Les Angles TGV bridge, turn right onto rue du Chêne Vert At the end of the street, turn right and cross the Pont Daladier You're now in the center of Avignon.

A loop that will make you travel across fields and cross many channels! From the parking, go past the castle on the left. At the roundabout take the first exit, Itam Boulevard At the Porte Condamine roundabout, follow the 1st exit, boulevard Gambetta. Continue 100 m then turn left on the D80 towards Maillane. Continue on this road until you cross the D570n. 1- Cross the D570n and follow the D80a towards Maillane for 3 km. After the main entrance of the Breuil estate, turn left on the paved road of Mas de Terras. Continue for 1 km and turn left on the tarmac road of Mas de la Musique. Continue until the D80 then switch to the right. 2- At the roundabout marking the entrance to Graveson, take the 1st exit, Chateaurenard road. Turn immediately left on Lavandin Street towards the center. Continue to the Sundial hotel and turn left on Chemin du Moulin. 200 m further, past the Tourist Office and the Auguste Chabaud Museum. 3- Pass the National Course, take the Jeanne d'Arc street after the Virgin statue and turn right on the Provence street. Then turn right on the General de Gaulle avenue then left on Lieutenant Atger Avenue. At the roundabout continue on the D5 until the entrance to Maillane. 4- Cross Maillane via the Jousse d'Arbaud alley, General de Gaulle avenue and Poet's Avenue. Continue on the D27, for 4 km, to the business area of ??Massane. At the crossroads with the D99 (Caution, traffic!), Turn left then continue for 400 m and turn right on the D27 towards Les Baux-de-Provence. 5- Drive 1.5 km and turn right on the old road to Arles after crossing the crossing with the Mas-Blanc road. Continue to Saint-Etienne du Grès, cross the village and continue on the D32. At the crossroads with the D33, take the left to join the Saint-Gabriel chapel 100 m further. 6- At the Saint-Gabriel chapel, retrace your steps to the last crossroads and continue towards Tarascon. (Caution, traffic!) At the roundabout take the 3rd exit, D570N, then turn right on the Lansac road. At the intersection with the D35, turn right and drive to Tarascon and continue for 3.5 km. 7- Turn left on the D970, then at the next crossroad, turn left going under the level crossing. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit, D99 towards Beaucaire. At the next roundabout, take the first exit and turn immediately left on the République Avenue to reach your starting point.

Between cliffs, vineyards and olive trees, indulge in the identity of the Alpilles! Back to the car park, follow on the right the D32, direction Fontvieille. At the intersection with the D33, take it on the left. After 500 m, fork right on the Joncs draille At the end, find the D33 and join Fontvieille on the right. 1- At the roundabout, take left, and then at the crossroads continue straight. After 2.5 km, turn left on the road, direction "Aqueduct Romain". . Follow it for 6 km to the village center of Paradou. 2- At the crossing, continue on the avenue Jean Bessat. Take the D17 on the right, then on the left the D78b direction Les Baux. At the end, follow to the right the D78f. 1 km further, turn right on the D27 and reach the town center of Maussane. 3 - at the intersection with the D17, turn to the left. After 800 m, take to the left the D5, direction of Eygalières. At the next intersection, follow the direction "Le Petit Roman" on the right. Continue on this road until the intersection with the D17. 4- Turn left on Alphonse Daudet road, before the D17, and continue to the roundabout. Take it on the left to follow the D24. After 1.5 km, turn right onto the D24a and follow it to Aureille. 5- Take the D25a on the left. After 4 km, go right on the D25 and continue for 7.5 km. At the junction with the D569, turn right. At the roundabout, continue straight for 150 m. 6- Turn left towards Sénas and continue for 7 km. Take the roundabout direction Sénas. After 300 meters, turn left on the path of "Donne", just before the level crossing. Continue to Orgon. 7- Go through Orgon via rue de la Fontaine and Edmond Coste Street. Continue by the Paradis uphill and the avenue Jean Moulin. At the intersection with the D24b, turn left and continue for 7 km to Eygalières. 8- Cross the village and continue on the D24b for 2 km. Turn left on the D24, towards Mouriès. At the foot of Calans, turn right on the GR marked path. Pass by the bridge called Romain, the triangular junction stays on the right and follow this path for 3 km. 9- Continue straight on the Aurelia road to the city entrance sign. Continue to Van Gogh Avenue. Cross it and follow Joseph d'Arbaud Avenue. Continue on the "Chemin Gaulois". Turn left after the canal, then take the old road on the left to Arles until the intersection with the D27. Cross it and continue straight on to St-Etienne du Grès.

Surprising walk where you will discover clay pitons shaped by erosion offering a show of forms and colors where a particular fauna and a flora settled. Not recommended the day after the rain because the ground is slippery. The Fosses de Fournès form a lunar landscape with very strong geological features. It's a special place for the flora and fauna that live there. Kermes oaks, wild lavender and rosemary blend into the clay landscape. The former clay quarry stretches along a gentle gradient that keeps you going up and down. The slopes are designed to make your walk easier. There's something fascinating about the landscape, which will take you on a journey from the Moon to the Gardon, via the vineyards. Not recommended after rain, as the terrain is very slippery. From the Grand Rue parking lot in Fournès village, turn left towards the Mairie. Walk along the stadium, then past the cemetery. Follow the route de théziers, then turn left at the Parefeuille factory. Follow the road for 1km, then turn left towards Les Fosses de Fournès. Along the way, you'll come across pitons between ten and thirty meters high, the highest of which is called "La Mourre de Pitaraçon". Then continue towards Fournès via Les Escarpettes. Turn left towards Fontaine de Nocquet, then left again to reach the village. You will pass the Cave Coopérative to reach the Grand Rue parking lot.

Suivre ce chemin balisé PR et GR® sur 1 km et rejoindre le premier carrefour. Emprunter à gauche et revenir au point de départ.

Pass the chapel St-Peire, then, at the crossroads, take the path on the right. Continue for 1 km.5- Go on the right path marked PR, following the sign "Chapelle St-Gabriel 8.4 km". Climb the path to the left. 100 m further, leave the bend on your right and continue passing under the fig tree Follow this marked path for 1 km. 6- At the crossroads, turn left and continue for 500 m. At the cistern with a trough, continue straight on the unmarked path. Make 600 m with a left turn, then a right. 7- Find the marked path PR, follow it on the right, then 50 m further turn left. At the next crossroads, take the path marked PR on the right. Get off, then go up the small valley.8- At the crossing, continue on the same road, always signposted PR. Follow it for 800 m until the "T" crossing. Take the right path for 800 m as well. Back to point n°2, turn left, following the sign "Chapel St Gabriel 2 km" Follow this marked path GR® on 1 km, then join the first junction. Turn left and return to the starting point.

Go through the ages with the exceptional historical heritage of the Alpilles! From the Inter communal Tourist Office of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, take the D5 towards the Glanum site to the junction with Joseph d'Arbaud Avenue. 1 - Turn right on the avenue. Climb the road for 4 km, then go down the Val d'Enfer to Baux-de-Provence. 3 - Continue on the D27 towards Maussane-les-Alpilles to the junction with the D78f. Turn left and continue until the intersection with the D17 in the heart of Maussane-les-Alpilles. 4- Cross the D17 and continue on the way to the pine forest. At the crossroads of the D78c, take it on the right. Continue to the center of Paradou and the intersection with the Belle Croix road. 5 - Turn left on Belle Croix road and continue for about 5 km until you reach the D33. 6 - Turn right towards Fontvieille, until you reach the junction with the D17a. Cross this crossroads and continue towards Saint-Etienne du Grès 7 - (Caution!) At the intersection with the D33a, turn left and continue using the coloured shoulder to the Saint Gabriel chapel. 8 - Just after the chapel, turn right on the D32, always towards Saint-Etienne du Grès. Cross the village, past the town hall. 9 - Before the exit of the village, take on the right the little path of Notre-Dame-du-Château. 10 - After a small bridge, take on the left the path of Calanquet. Continue for 700 m then at the crossroads with the D31, turn right and continue to the center of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. At the church, turn right to join the departure car park.

This feudal castle, above the Rhone valley, has long been a sentinel of the county of Provence facing the Kingdom of France. Dating from the 11th century, it belonged to different owners, some of whom have left their names in history, like Raymond de Turenne or King René. The last Count of Boulbon, Gaston de Raousset, died in Boulbon without direct descendants in 1956. The castle is classified on the list of Historical Monuments since a decree of January 2nd, 1976.

This orientation table was installed in 2002, at the initiative of the children of the primary school of Boulbon, a few meters below the Bonnet windsmill. It offers a magnificent panorama with on the left the Boulbon village and Montagnette, on the right the Rhone and the outskirts of the Gard department, and in the center the lowland cultivated by many fruit trees and the city of Beaucaire in the background.

Located in the Montagnette, Moulin windsmill, was created in the eighteenth century, the golden age of windmills. The Rhône valley, swept by the Mistral, is an ideal site for mills. In operation until the 19th century, they were supplanted by industrial mills. In 2002, the Bonnet windsmill is the subject of a complete restoration : the tower has a roof and wings. It is the first windmill in Bouches-du-Rhône to have been put back into operation.

The Montagnette is a 6 000 ha massif whose relief is of low altitude (150 m approximately), but relatively abrupt. Dating from the Neocomian secondary era, 70 million years ago, it is marked by a series of hills and valleys essentially oriented north-west / south-east, parallel to the axis of the mistral. With a significant agricultural and pastoral activity, the Montagnette massif has a relatively low afforestation rate (30%), mainly composed of Aleppo pines.

The Alpilles massif is a low altitude mountain range, made up of limestone white rocks. It stretches from west to east between Tarascon and Orgon over an area of ??50,000 hectares and sixteen municipalities. It is one of the emblematic reliefs of the Bouches-du-Rhône, dominating in the north the gardening lowland of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and in the south the Crau lowland The Opies, to the east of the massif, constitute its culminating point, with 498 meters of altitude.

The Alep pine is very present in the Alpilles. He appreciates the low altitudes (below 900 meters) and the Mediterranean regions (warm climate, dry soils, sunshine). It has the particularity to grow very quickly. It is observed therefore repel after the passage of fires, because it is the first essence which reconstructs the landscape. Highly flammable, its bark was previously used for tanning skins or dyes.

The Saint-Michel de Frigolet Abbey is located near Tarascon inside the Montagnette massif. Isolated in a wild valley in the middle of pines, it takes its name from "ferigoulo", thyme in Provencal language. The abbey hosts a community of Prémontrés canons since the twelfth century. In the past, it was abandoned several times, or used outside its ecclesiastical setting. Thus between 1831 and 1841, the site became a college frequented by Frédéric Mistral.

The Porte du Séquier is a Romanesque gateway at the southern entrance to the Barbentane ramparts. You will find it when you are South of the medieval walls. Sequier, from Provençal “seca“ means “dry“. Farmers dried their vegetable crops for winter stores on the streets of the Sequier.

Built in the North side of the little mountain, the city is overlooked by the Anglica Tower. It was built in 1365 by Cardinal Grimoard, Brother of Pope Urbain V, the tower measures 28 meters high and 10 meters wide. It remains the great witness of the medieval period, and was restored in the 18th century. The Angelica Tower, with a turret above it, was sung by Mistral (Famous Provencal Poet) in Les Iscles d’Or. On its left side, the Sequier Door (14th century) was the village border line. The tower has been registered “Historical Monument“ since 1925 but is closed to the public. Visible only from outside.

"Home of the Knights of Malta", known as "the House of the Knights" is the former stately home of the Marquis de Barbentane. Located opposite the Church in the middle of the fortified Center of the village, its construction dates from the beginning of the twelfth century (1133).The House is divided and sold from 1665. The northern part became the home of the Consuls and Hotel City 1670 to 1888, the southern part is occupied by families and the low Gallery is used as a Hall. The Town Hall party was strongly reworked between 1838 and 1843, only the corner tower is preserved, with a monumental sculpture of the first coat of arms of the village. The South façade, on the street Pujade, is dressed again around 1740 and treated in classic hotel. All has been restored in the year 2000.
