Walk along the tracks of the old cogwheel train that ran between Mouxy and Revard from 1892 to 1937. The trail, punctuated by old works of art, leads you to the lookout where the view takes in all of the Lac du Bourget and Aix les Bains.

The Nivolet Cross? It's the only thing you see on the road to Chambéry! Perched at the top of its cliff at an altitude of 1547 metres, it dominates the town and Lake Bourget. Why not take a closer look? Come on, let's get on with it! The path climbs up through the wildflowers to the beautiful Sire mountain pasture, right next to the ski lift. The walk gets off to a good start, with a superb view over Lac du Bourget and the goal of the trip in the distance: the Croix du Nivolet. Right next to it, a paraglider takes off down the slope and soars into the air! Flying in this landscape must be fantastic... Then the path enters the forest, and the cross disappears from view. We walk quietly along the wide path for a while. Then, all of a sudden, there it is - impressive! Immense, 21 metres high! Shining brightly with its aluminum plates! Its two branches extend like protective arms over the valley. The scenery is magnificent: from here, you can admire Lac du Bourget, the Chartreuse, the Bauges and Chambéry. Now, as we look down on it, we'll be reminded of that beautiful walk.

A walk along the water's edge, leading walkers around one whole side of the Lac du Bourget. A mixture of users is the name of the game here and you may well be joined by roller bladers, children on their trikes watching kite surfers or wind surfers on the lake. This lakeside path is the culmination of the Grand Lac development program initiated by the Conseil général de la Savoie. This promenade is already a great success, providing users with a once inaccessible lakeside that is now attractive again. A variety of green spaces and terraces offer many opportunities to relax close to the water. Swimming is available at various locations, inviting young and old alike to cool off... The ever-changing and surprising waters of Lac du Bourget are an invitation to return on a windy or swelly day.

A hike on the heights of Lac du Bourget with magnificent views. A Féclaz/Revard round trip between lake and mountains. D/ Féclaz Tourist Office 1/ Head towards Le Revard, leaving the E.S.F. on your left. Drive around the Chalets du Berger then come to the junction of the D913 and D913B roads. 2/ At "Le Sapey" follow signs for "Les Fermes, sentier du Bourget". 3/ After passing the forest adventure park, you will come across information panels about the Gornaz forest. 4/ At "Le Pertuiset" you can make a round trip (10 mins) to the Col du Pertuiset, which offers a breathtaking view of the cliffs and the old mule track. 5/ Continue as far as Les Fermes. Cross the D913 and go up to the "L'Alpage" sign. Turn left towards Le Revard. 6/ At the "Le Tremplin" sign, cross the road and climb up to the Revard lookout to admire the panoramic view over Lac du Bourget. 7/ To return, from the Revard lookout, ski down the slopes to the wooden Revard arch. 8/ Follow the signs for "Les Fermes". At the "l'Alpage" sign, take the path on the right towards "Féclaz par le GRP / Col du Pertuiset", cross the road. 9/ You can take advantage of the Gornaz forest interpretation trail. This unique railway roundhouse, built between 1906 and 1910, features an articulated metal structure similar to the Eiffel Tower. Mandatory guided tours. The exceptional railway situation of Chambéry has led to build the engine shed, to make easier the manoeuvre and the maintenance of the locomotives. This is one of the last big building of a metal articulated structure of longue range in France, this technique having then disappeared with the coming of the reinforced concrete. It is composed of two parts : a ring of 27m of width and a dome of 55m of diameter. The building is 34m high, 110m of diameter and is weighting 900 ton. While the railway installation were the Allies target, the engine shed has been miraculously spared by the bombing of 1944.When its destruction has been evoked in 1980, some railway workers passioned will succeed in convincing the SNCF direction to preserve this precious industrial testimony of the early XXth century. It has been classified historical monument in 1984. Maintained and restored progressivly by the SNCF, it is still used for the maintenance of about fifty locomotives, including a machine from the 1900's.

This lookout over the city is just a 15-minutes walk from the city-centre. This viewpoint is situated on the upper part of the Bois Vidal, and is accessible via a path of the same name. From the centre, take the Boulevard de la Roche du Roi to enter the Bois Vidal. Staying on the main path, you will come to this viewpoint with an almost 180° panorama over the town centre and the north of the Lac du Bourget, as well as la Dent du Chat and the Grand Colombier.

A wood in the middle of the city for pleasant strolls and moments of relaxation. In the centre of Aix-les-Bains, stroll along various marked circular paths or do some exercise on the Parcours de Santé. Up above, there is a viewpoint with a unique panorama over the town centre and the Lac du Bourget.

Along the edge of the lake, it offers panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountain ranges. Setting off from the activity area, this pedestrian walkway is ideal for the whole family: pedal-carts, little wooden horses, rides, trampolines, boat hire and more! There are many facilities nearby, and frequent activities.

Beach with lawns, fine sand and water games for children. The beach is supervised and during the summer there is an admission fee. A snackbar and a restaurant are close by.
