Go up to the grocer's shop and turn left on Rue du Roc Grand. Continue straight on through Rue de la Liberté.At the last house, follow the tarmac road to the right. At the crossroads after the brook, take the track that goes up to the right. Turn left at the road and go back to the Mont.Go through the village; the road becomes a trail. Continue past a path and then a track on your left. At the next crossroads, take the track on the left.When you arrive at the interpretation trail, take the trail leading to the belvedere. Make the round trip to the belvedere and then to the waterfall. At the top of the steps, turn right. Turn right at the next crossroads, and then right again to cross the stream by the footbridge. The trail becomes a path that goes to Les Chaux.In the village, take the road to the left for 200 m. Cross several fences and enter the meadow following the fence on the right-hand side to return to the road.Turn left to reach the Juillac mill. Go around the pond, over the dyke and up a small path. Follow the track on the left to go through Juillac. In the village, take the road on the right to return to Liginiac.

Then go down to the right towards the lake to find a path that runs along the lake towards the Etang du Maury.Take the road to the left, then the path on the right. Go up to the right and then left where the trees are felled. Go back down to the track and take a left.Take the road to the left and then, at the crossroads, follow the track to the right. At the crossroads, turn left. Go through a village.Take the road to the right and then to the left. Go through La Chastre and continue on the track.Take the road to the right. Go right at the next crossroads. Ignore two roads on your left. At the next crossroads, take the road on the left. Continue straight ahead along the track.At the crossroads, turn right towards Bonnefond. In a bend, take the path on the left that goes back to Liginiac: turn right in front of the retirement home and then left towards the centre of the village.

Come and discover a historical and economic heritage that stretches from the 12th century to the present day. From the fortified castle to the manor house, the farms, and the lake, everything here tells you about the work of men. The orientation table of Manzagol gives a view of the landscape and its subtle reading. Back in the village, the "rue du tacot", which crosses it, was in the 19th century teeming with activities installed on both sides of the road.

Between undergrowth and meadows, the bucolic atmosphere of a typical corner of Haute-Corrèze.Departure from in front of the Mairie, the town hall. Go towards St-Etienne la Geneste and turn right before the multi-purpose hall.Follow the road for 200m, then turn left onto the track. Turn left at the next crossroads to find the RD168 at the village of Cornecul.Cross the main road and take the road opposite, which you follow for 500 m. Turn right at the crossroads and then right again onto a wide track that follows the power line.Fork left and then go right. Continue straight ahead; the track becomes a trail through the undergrowth. It joins a tarmac track.Follow this to the right, then take the road to the left. Go through the village "Chez Babar". Leave a track on your right, then, at La Besse, leave the road to take a small path on the left that crosses a wetland.Where the paths cross, turn right; continue straight on through the woodland.At the crossroads with the road, follow the track to the left; ignore the first path to the right and take the second. Keep straight on to reach the village of Viers. Go through it, and go down to the crossroads.Turn right to reach the village of Vedrenne. At the crossroads, turn left to go up towards the farm. Just after it, take a small, inconspicuous path on the left. Follow it to a crossroads with a track.Follow it to the left; join the road that you take on the right and then on the left to reach the starting point again.

This 58.9 km hilly route invites you to discover the Gorges de la Haute Dordogne, which are of major ecological interest with a variety of remarkable landscapes, in a most surprising natural setting. The route starts in Liginiac, which has an imposing old castle that houses the town hall. On the way to Neuvic, you will discover the Triouzoune lake, a vast water reservoir covering 410 hectares and 7 kilometres long. Another curiosity on your way is the Puy de Manzagol, which elegantly dominates the Triouzoune lake. The surrounding landscape is extremely varied: with woods, moors, meadows and farmland. All of this forms a harmonious and atypical setting. The rest of the route invites you to flirt with the Dordogne for a few kilometres along the water's edge.

Famously known as the "Tacot", the Transcorrézien ran in Haute-Corrèze for over fifty years, between 1912 and 1959. At the time, the 114 km journey took 8 hours and linked Ussel/Tulle. The Tacot passed through some fifteen small stations. Route Historique / Route du Transcorrézien. In the early 2000s, the Syndicat Intercommunal du Transcorrézien (now dissolved) undertook the restoration of some of these stations, treasures of the Corrèze heritage. Hiking trails have even been laid out along the route of the old steam train. Today, to discover them, simply follow the signs "Route du Transcorrézien".

The Romanesque church, whose entrance door is decorated with 13th-century wrought-iron hinges (listed), faces the remains of the Château de Peyroux.

Around twenty metres high, the Saut de Juillac is part of the Roc Grand site, which was listed in 1988. The stream that forms the jump has several names: the ruisseau de Froidefont at its source or the ruisseau de l'Eau Large as it flows through Liginiac. Juillac is the name of the village where the waterfall flows into the Dordogne. A right-bank tributary, the stream cascades down a hundred-metre slope in a succession of waterfalls amid rocky scree. The site can be explored on the Milan hiking trail, which starts in Liginiac.

This hike will offer you a remarkable view of the highest volcano in metropolitan France, the Puy de Sancy. At 1885 metres above sea level, this summit is the highest point of the Massif Central. The two streams, the Dore and the Dogne, originate there, and their confluence forms the Dordogne.

Beyond the Dordogne, we will see the Monts du Cantal during this hike. This massif is, in fact, the remnant of a stratovolcano born 13 million years ago, the largest in Europe, eroded by collapse and glacial erosion.

Situated at the bottom of valleys, often in spring areas or on the bank of a stream that is barely flowing, wet meadows and peat bogs provide small reserves of fodder in times of drought. Livestock find food there during very hot and dry weather events. In the spring, these areas are also good for dragonflies.

Below the belvedere, you can see the power station of Val Beneyte. First stands the Puy de Teldes, which is, in fact, a flap of lava flows from the neighbouring Puy de Lacollange. In the background, the Cantal mountains. This massif is, in fact, the remnant of a stratovolcano born 13 million years ago, the largest in Europe, eroded by collapse and glacial erosion.

This meticulously restored 12th-century Romanesque church contains a wealth of furnishings, not to mention the 16th-century cross in the cemetery, whose portal is topped by a macabre inscription.

This belvedere offers a magnificent view of the confluence of the Diège and Dordogne rivers and the site of St-Nazaire.This place takes its name from the legend of the saint who supposedly drove the devil away.A pilgrimage in his honour was organised by a Way of the Cross. During the ceremony, the inhabitants of Roche were grouped together on this belvedere, those of Cantal on the edge of the plateau. The three groups sang at the same time and the echoes reverberated through the valley.
