La Tourette convent was designed by Le Corbusier at the end of the 1950s. It is now a historical monument occupied by a community of some ten Dominican monks devoted to coordinating visits and encouraging onsite meetings and exchanges.

Near a former copper and pyrite mine, the museum has reconstructed galleries and mining sites and presents the history of the mine from 1800 to 1972, as well as an exhibition of equipment, archives and minerals.

The museum is housed in an old canvas factory built in 1856. From the former boss’s office to the garden, by way of the factory, discover the history of textiles in the Montagnes du Matin: damask, bolting cloth, silk and ties.

25Km GPS-guided off-road electric scooter ride through the heart of the Beaujolais region, with a gourmet break halfway through, the famous "Mâchon Beaujolais". Meet in the parking lot of the Salle d'Animation Rurale in Frontenas, get to grips with the machines, then set off on a guided GPS ride lasting around 1 hour. At the halfway point, I'll be waiting for you to take a relaxing, convivial and gourmet break, accompanied by the famous "Mâchon Beaujolais", made up of local charcuterie, farmhouse cheeses, Beaujolais wine and sweets. At the end of this stop, you'll continue your tour for about 1 hour.

This medieval chapel is the oldest remaining religious building in Tarare. It still has its Romanesque-style chancel decorated with medieval paintings. 10th and 11th century vault. Near the chapel there's a really lovely viewpoint and a panoramic map.

This medieval chapel has kept its original architecture with a central nave and side chapel. Wood panelled ceiling. Blind window in the flamboyant Gothic style. Votive chapel (built in fulfilment of a vow).

The medieval Vindry chapel is interesting from an architectural and artistic point of view, the steeple wall in particular with its canopy. Inside, the font in golden-coloured stone is typical to the area and very well preserved, despite its age.

This 30 m high building overlooks the town and is reminiscent of the old part of Tarare. 11th to 18th century. Worth seeing: the 17th century gilded wood altarpiece and the stained glass windows.

It is the highest point in the monts du Lyonnais (1,004 m above sea level). A 360° viewpoint at the top of the tower. Direct pedestrian access from the picnic area. Shop selling local products, refreshment bar and point of information during the summer period. Built in 1876, the tower was used as a hunting lodge and then became a bar where people could dance. After the Liberation, the Air Force removed its roof. In the fifties, a Hertzian tower was built nearby. Today, thanks to renovation works, the tower enjoys its roof again

This ancient chapel dates back to the 12th century and was rebuilt in 1757. A hiking path leads directly to it and offers a remarkable view of Tarare and its surrounding countryside.
