On the GR®6 between Preignac and Caudrot, hikers pass through the Sauternes vineyards, then follow the banks of the Garonne to the quays of Langon, in front of its Saint-Gervais church. Walkers wishing to complete this 2-day tour will find all amenities in Langon. Experienced walkers can stop off at the picnic area. After passing through the village of Saint Loubert, you arrive at Castets and Castillon, with the Château du Hamel, the Canal Latéral à la Garonne and its locks. Once across the Garonne, and before reaching Caudrot station, pass through the village via the charming Place des Tilleuls. This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Departing from a train station or TER bus stop, it allows you to join a walking or hiking itinerary and take a stroll in ecomobility!

Château Sigalas Rabaud is the smallest estate of the 1855’s “1er Grands Crus”, with 14 hectares in one piece of homogeneous soil. At the heart of this land, you will find the Charterhouse (situated at less than 500 meters from the Château d'Yquem), surrounded by the storehouse and outbuildings. Château Guiraud takes its name from a Bordeaux negociant, Pierre Guiraud, who purchased the estate in 1766. Included among the first growths in the 1855 classification, Château Guiraud has more than a hundred hectares of vines. This magnificent property is well-known for their natural approach to viticulture. This entailed building an insect hotel, planting five kilometers of hedges, developing genetic diversity, studying and propagating vines in a conservatory, etc. Château Guiraud is currently the only first growth in the 1855 classification to be officially certified for organic viticulture. The estate’s ecological orientation helps to produce great wines with a strong personality and tremendous finesse. "Forêt galerie" means those plants made with oaks, pines and all varities of trees standing the long of the Ciron river, protecting it from sunrays during summer. This "forêt galerie" is very influential because it allows to the brook to keep the waters fresher than the Garonne River. This difference of temperatures between the Garonne and the Ciron provokes frequently morning fogs in the region and offers to the botrytis cinerea the ideal conditions to its developpement. Thus the "forêt gallerie" is at the beginning of the production line of the wamous Sauternes wines...

This church is the oldest building of Pujols, with a roman architecture from the 12th century. There is only the western portal from this time, listed as historical monument and protected by the porch. The church was enlarged with a side aisle during the 15th century. The bell tower was rebuilt during the 17th century, the porch and the sacristy during the 18th century. There are beutiful bay windows lighting up from the 19th century made by Henru Curcier, glass-maker and painter.

Today, Clos Floridène is a 40-hectare vineyard in the Graves appellation, located mainly on the limestone plateau of Pujols sur Ciron. Its name evokes the first names of its founders: Denis and Florence Dubourdieu. At the outset, in 1982, Clos Floridène was a small enclosure comprising 2 hectares of old vines, a winemaker's house, an old wine storehouse and 2 hectares of fallow land. Gradually, through successive purchases of neighboring plots, the current vineyard was built up. The property?s historic winegrower?s house was renovated in 2016 and converted into a guest house, with an adjoining function room, enabling Le Clos Floridène to organize events and launch its notourism activities. Completed in 2018, it will have taken 36 years of work to establish Le Clos Floridène as an independent, world-renowned winegrowing entity.

Domaine de la Gauche was founded in the beginning of the twentieth century by Jean Baro. This enthusiast socialist fighter gave a great international reputation to the famous "head's cream" sticked with the "Fist & Rose" label. In 2012, the Négrou family purchased the Domaine, preserving cautiously traditional winemaking. Meanwhile technology was added in the respect of the environment and upon characteristics of this extraordinary terroir. Buildings and wine storehouse are typical from the Gironde region.

Château Lamourette does not derive its originality of its name: the property was acquired in 1860, was, until today, passed by a line of winegrowers and authentic style home evokes arcachonnaises villas. The origin of a great wine lies in the quality of its grapes. The wash-house of Bommes is located at the edge of the Ciron, very close to the church. Until the arrival of running water, the women of the village used to come here to wash their clothes.
