Just 20 minutes from Confolens, a renowned world dance and music festival, and 20 minutes from Mortemart, one of France's most beautiful villages, at the junction of the Vienne, Charente and Haute-Vienne departments, on an 80-hectare estate of meadows and woods where sheep are raised, the totally independent house, located on the farm, opens onto an enclosed lawn at the rear. The Gîte is located in a quiet village in the Haut Limousin region, 300m from local shops (bakery-pastry shop, butcher's, restaurant, café, pharmacy...). The Gartempe Valley is 3km away, offering hiking and mountain-biking trails, and canoeing at the Gorges de l'Enfer. Within a 20km radius, you can visit Le Dorat (small town of character), Bellac (historic district and Vincou valley) and Montmorillon (Cité de l'écrit). A little further afield are Mortemart and the Monts de Blond, the village of Oradour sur Glane, and the Val de Vienne motor racing circuit, with Limoges and Poitiers 60km away. The Gîte is a detached house with a fully enclosed garden, terrace and bike/motorcycle storage. Equipped kitchen, one bedroom with a 160x200 bed and a shower cubicle, the other bedroom with a 140x190 bed and a 90x190 bed.

In the heart of a small hamlet in the Haut Limousin region, this self-contained gîte opens onto a large terrace and lawn, with a south-facing, unoverlooked swimming pool (9 x 4). Covered by a shelter, it's open from May 1 to October 15. Below, a large meadow. A plot of land bordering the Gartempe river is also at your disposal. It is equipped with a table and barbecue.

The bell tower on the porch is the oldest part of the church. The Barrage de la Roche is located between Le Vigeant and Millac. It was built and put into service in 1921 by the Société des forces Motrices de la Vienne. In 1946, its operation was taken over by EDF. The dam, of the rectilinear weight type, was built astride an island located in the center of the river. Its crest length is 203 m, including the 58 m plant (right bank). The flood discharge equipment is located on the left bank. It includes surface gates, automatic gates and bottom gates. The power plant is equipped with 4 generating units: 3 propeller units and 1 Kaplan turbine, which allows for a finer adjustment of flows during low water periods. It is a facility with a low storage capacity. It retains a little more than 4 million m3 of water, for a height of less than 20 m.
