Via a succession of country roads, it passes through the villages of Chalosse until it enters Béarn via the crossroads town of Sault-de-Navailles. Portions of the road finally take over and bring you closer to Orthez, a stage of great historical and architectural interest.

Discover among the oaks of the Caillan wood, the neolithic funerary monuments. Park in front of the town hall of Fargues and leave the town hall behind, heading east.

From the church of Saint André (12th century), dating from the viscounty of Louvigny, to the Baille mill on the Landes, the circuit offers you a crossing in the north of Béarn on the commune of Malaussanne, at the limit of the Landes.

The church is the main feature of this trail: with its elongated plan, it was remodeled in the 14th or 15th century, when a low side was built on the south side. The east aisle features a ribbed crossing, with pedestals resting on Gothic bases. Mullioned windows and polygonal chevet. South aisle separated from nave by three semicircular arches. Out of Béarn until the French Revolution, this building was remodeled in the 19th and 20th centuries.

A unique walk that leads you to Buglose in the footsteps of the young Vincent de Paul and takes you to the white chalet, passing by the strange ice house and its pond. 2 markings to follow: red on the first part of the circuit and yellow on the second.

Located in the Chalosse region of the Landes département, Habas is one of the 24 communes of the Communauté de Communes du Pays d?Orthe et Arrigans. This charming village, set on the heights of the Gave de Pau, has a population of around 1,500, and has maintained its vitality thanks to a rich network of associations and the preservation of its local shops. Habas takes its name from the Gascon word "fabas", meaning a place fertile with beans. Located on the Roman road linking Bordeaux to Astorga, the area became a stopping-off point for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela in the 14th century. At the same time, the town began to develop around its feudal castle, the site of today?s town hall. In 1638, Louis XIII granted Habas letters patent authorizing the holding of a market every Friday.

The Chai d’Antin is a 17th century wine storehouse, with a monumental timber frame that has stood the test of time. The place is a reminder of the fact that, in 1761, Mugron was the farthest port down the Adour, from which Chalosse wines were shipped to Bayonne by barge. The building is the largest wine storehouse in the style of Béarn, despite its geographic location in Chalosse. It took no fewer than 500 m3 of oak – nearly 6 hectares! – to build the structure of this extraordinary storehouse. Fans of art and culture can head upstairs, where you will be impressed by the amazing rafters and exposed stone walls, as well as by the painters, photographers, sculptors and other artists chosen to display their pieces here. Romanesque building from the 12th century, rebuilt several times, with a very old chevet, remarkable arcatures on sculpted capitals, a stone pulpit dating from 1764, a square fortified bell tower from the 14th century.

The farm has 3 associate beekeepers, Jean-Pierre Boueilh, Guillaume and Méridith VERGNES for 600 hives and 800 hives in production. You will find in their honey house, located in the heart of the Chalosse hillsides, 9 different types of honey, pollen and other beekeeping products.

The Tauzia farm, near the Romanesque church of Brocas, stands on the slopes of the Chalosse, of which it is a proud representative. Discover the open-air breeding of goslings and geese with foie gras, watch the feeding of the ducks before stopping at the shop to buy foie gras, confits, duck breasts stuffed with foie gras and other rillettes, all produced on the farm. A small farmer's museum with the old tools of the former gourmets serves as a showcase for this unmissable shop.

In the charming flowery village of Larbey, the old and current bullring is an integral part of the local heritage. Indeed, close to the porch of the church and the war memorial, are the stands of the old bullring around which the Landes Races took place until 1973. Since then, the villagers have voluntarily built the treated wooden arenas that are now the current ones.

In the centre of this charming village of Chalosse, this church dates from the 11th century and was transformed in the 16th and 17th centuries. Restored from 2001 to 2011, the work revealed remarkable wall paintings: a large crucifixion dated 1603 on the old south portal, another scene on the same wall of the nave and a scene of the Last Judgement dated 1610 on the vaulted surface Christ is seated in the centre on a rainbow, his feet on a globe topped by a cross. Mary and St. Joseph (bearded) are respectively on his left and right. Christ, with his arms raised, shows the stigmata of the Passion. Around him, figures (humans or souls) emerge from the tombs, arms raised or hands joined. In the upper part of the vault, above Christ, the four evangelists are represented. The south wall shows the Last Supper (in part) and the Crucifixion.

The Ferme du Haza is a traditional duck farm which is typical of the Chalosse countryside. Benoît Justes is the heir to precious know-how. He respects the recipes and methods handed down to him from his parents and grandparents.
