Between the puys and the Doustre plain, you will need a picnic break at the Etang de Gros.From the church, take the street on the right heading towards Seugnac, leave the road on the right, continue on the D142.Go up left into the forest by the track, pass the summit of Puy Guzard and continue straight ahead. Cross the road (old Roman road) and continue opposite on the path between forest and meadow. Leave the path on the right and arrive at Le Bessard. Take the road on the left and use the "boviduc" on the right which passes under the N89. Cross the railway and enter the forest of tall Douglas fir ahead of you. Descend into a trough, cross a stream and reach a crossroads where four paths meet.Continue to the left alongside the field. At the crossing of Le Puy de l'Homme, turn right and, at the crow's foot, stay on the left. Cross the D66, take the track in front, continue straight ahead, then turn left to join the tail of the pond, L'etang de Gros. Walk alongside the pond on the right.Walk along the pond dam to the left (at the weir, look out for signs of the presence of the otter: scales, droppings) and continue along the path in the extension. Leave the path to the picnic area on the left.Turn off on the path to the left. It goes through a remarkable grove of oaks. Take the D142E1 on the left, then the small path on the left in a coppice and turn right. Take the D66 to the right, pass Saint-Roch, cross the railway, follow the N89 to the left, then turn right to reach the church.

From Lake Deiro to Las Vergnas

On the king's highway, continue through the countryside to reach the village of Darnets and the site of Las Vergnas.Join the path alongside the lake on the right, cross the footbridge over the weir and go through the tunnel under the road. Walk alongside the river. Go over a footbridge. At the road turn left, then continue on the path. At the crow's foot continue to the left.At the road go up on the right for 300 m then turn left onto a path. Cross a road and follow the path on the left. Again, on a small road, turn left, pass over the river and continue along the path.Turn right onto the road that crosses the railway and continue until you reach the village of Veuillac. In the hamlet, take a small hairpin road on the left and continue straight ahead on a paved road (the king's highway). Go to the road on the right and then immediately to the crossroads on the left. Leave the road to take a path on the right that goes around the village of La Barrière, and continue straight ahead.At the road continue on the track opposite, then turn right onto a path, and continue straight ahead. On the main road, go to the left. At the crossroads (Croix des Rameaux - palm cross) go down towards the church of Saint-Maurice and the oratory and then head up towards the town centre.At the crossing, continue straight ahead towards Montusclat. Leave a path to the right and go down the road to the bridge to reach to the starting point of the visit to Las Vergnas.At the welcome panel, go onto the footbridge, follow the water upstream. Cross another footbridge and then take the pontoon that goes through the wetland. Then pass a second footbridge and continue on the trail. Where you meet another path, turn left to join the old "serve" (a stone and landscaped pond). Continue along the path and turn left to return to the wetland.At the road, turn right to head to the village of Darnets.
