Set in time, the village of Plumetot charms us with its old stones and its narrow streets (Plumetot only had streets until 1985!). A true rural stopover in the Terres de Nacre, its green lanes offer a panorama of the sea as well as the countryside and are a good place to go for a walk with your family or with a four-legged friend. Take a stroll to its neighbour, Cresserons. Its architecture and its religious past are surprising. It was once a Protestant village, but today only vestiges of that era remain! Nevertheless, go through the door of the Church of Saint Jacques and you will be amazed.

Discover one of our country villages at the gates of Caen. This pretty village was founded in the 11th century by the family of the lords of Anisy, one of the oldest in Normandy. You will see the manor house of Anisy (15th century) and its beautiful pond fed by numerous local springs. The Romanesque church, listed as a historical monument since 1927, was built in the 11th century. In the main street, which was preserved from the bombings of June 1944, you can also discover many 18th century stone houses typical of the housing on the Caen plain.

Located on the southern exit of the town on the road to Biéville-Beuville, this 24 hectare site, comprised of 18 casemates and underground fortifications built by the Germans between 1942 and 1944, was the command post of the German defences along the Côte de Nacre coast. Memorial to the 1st Battalion, Suffolk Regiment, which liberated the site on the 6th of June 1944 – open in July and August, every day except Tuesday and Sunday, from 10am to 12 noon and from 2.30pm to 6.30pm. Outdoor site open all year. Guided tours on Tuesdays at 3pm from July to September.

Former property of a protestant family, hence the name.

The school was also located here; in the backyard. Inscriptions can be seen on the flagpole. It was customary to leave a trace of one's passage there by putting a date and one's name or initials.

After 6 June 1944, many airfields were built to support the ground forces. Plumetot, B10, was the place that marked the return of Polish airmen to the mainland and gave them hope.

Listed as a historical monument since 1927. Built between the 12th and 18th centuries. Romanesque style. In the choir there are two beautiful keystones and a pool with a three-lobed arch. One of the keystones represents an angel whose semi-erect wings describe a circle. At the top of its bell tower, a very special clock since 1891. Other remarkable elements are the cross in the cemetery dating from the 17th century and the many details on the façade. In addition to the beautiful fish bones, the stone carvers have left their mark: the drawing of a hand, a cross, but also a memento mori on one of the buttresses of the church.

On Wednesday and Thursday lunch is also available, with a single course, and on Friday it's pancake night. Everything is homemade and seasonal, as local and organic as possible. We select our products with care and work with l'Arbuste Café, BioCoop, Les Glaciers Normands, brasserie Les Deux Amants, Flore Norman? And last but not least, Sundays are brunch: an all-you-can-eat buffet. It includes a breakfast section (ultra-good bread, viennoiseries, butter, spreads, etc.), a savoury section (charcuterie, local cheeses), a sweet section (cereals, cakes of the day, pancakes), and hot and cold drinks. Twelve workstations are spread over two large tables, and eight workstations are located high up on two "standing-desks" along the bay windows. The wooden furniture was custom-made in our workshop. In fine weather, you can also enjoy the garden, covered by Wi-Fi. > Coliving Coliving, literally "co-living", simply means "living together". Every Saturday evening, there's a family dinner with all the colivers. Unlike a shared apartment, everything is ready when you arrive: sheets on the bed, towels, everything is included! At Les Briques, we have paid particular attention to aesthetics and ambience: the use of wood in the entirely bespoke fittings, the conservation of existing raw materials, and the presence of stoves in the kitchen and coworking area create an immediately warm atmosphere. Coliving is located on the first floor of Les Briques, which is entirely dedicated to it: this is where the dormitory, sanitary facilities, kitchen and lounge are located. Jean, co-founder of Les Briques and a carpentry teacher for twenty years, who designed the interiors of the coliving and coworking facilities and our tea room, will run the courses in our fully-equipped woodworking workshop, ideally located on site.
