Take the D60 road on the left again for 50 m, then the D17 to the right.In the bend, turn left onto a small trail that is not very visible from the road. After leaving a small road to the left, head onto the next path to the left and, 100 m further on, turn right. At the end of the path, follow the bend to the left and continue straight ahead between the houses to reach the D17. Turn to the right and carry on, out of the hamlet. Cross the D16 to continue for 200 m towards Fransèches.Veer left on the hairpin path. Follow the old route of the D16 road on the right until the exit on the bend, and then continue on the right on the uphill path. Take the D53 road on the left, and turn left at the crossroads to go through Le Frais. At the crow's foot, continue to the left until you reach the D16. Walk alongside this road to the right for about 50 m and then turn left to return to Masgot.

In the 19th century, a peasant stonemason carved in granite everything that mattered to him: people, animals, but also his beliefs and dreams. He drew heavily on his immediate surroundings. François Michaud, this solitary man, transformed an ordinary village into a unique place.

To explore the southern territory of Ahun, between Chamberaud and the village of Masgot with its sculptures.Depart from the front of the town hall in Chamberaud. Go through the town of Chamberaud.As you leave Vezou, take the path on the left. Follow it until you meet another primary path on the right. Take the path all the way to the road. It turns to the left, follow it for about 400 m.Then take the path on the right. It turns left twice and then descends to a track.Turn right and take the second trail on the right. Follow it, ignoring a path on the right, then two on the left and finally two on the right before coming back onto a track. Ignore two paths on the right and one on the left.Take the next path on the left. Follow it as far as the road. Turn left to return to the village of Chamberaud.

A short 5 km hike south of Ahun to discover the proud little church of Chamberaud, once a Templar chapel.

Start / Finish: near the church, D55 23480 Ars Once you're opposite the church entrance, take the road on your right towards La Vallade, enter the village and take the track on your right. Go to the end of the road, then turn left, cross the village of Sémenon and take the track on your right. At the end of the track, turn right, cross the Voutouéry stream and continue to the road. At this intersection, take the road on your right, then the next track on your left. When you reach the road, turn right. In the village of Villeloube, turn right again. At the end of the road, turn left. Just after the bridge over the Voutouéry stream, turn right, then immediately left. On this track, take the first path on your left that leads back to the village of Ars.

On the Étang du Moulin site, Albert Mazet, heir to the Donzeil lords, had the estate completely redeveloped between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. From wall to ceiling, immense frescoes in primary colors depict biblical scenes: the Crucifixion, the Nativity, the Old and New Testaments? Scenes in symbolic colors echoed in the stained glass windows. Handmade jams, jellies, sweet preparations & chutneys in small quantities in Creuse, France We process the fruit we grow or pick in St Georges la Pouge & the surrounding gardens, depending on the season. Fruits are processed immediately after picking to preserve their flavor. We don't use industrial pectin for our jams. We make it from our own apples. Small quantities are cooked in copper basins. Many of our jams are double-cooked. Jars are filled by hand. Only the oranges come from Spain & the apricots from Mont Ventoux. The vegetables for our chutneys are grown in our own field by the market gardeners of Donzeil & Banize. Our small-scale production respects biodiversity. No pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used.

Opened on June 21, Le Mistral is Ahun's newest restaurant. Chef Gilles Maillary, originally from the Creuse region of France, has just returned from Marseille, bringing with him his southern recipes. Dish of the day or à la carte, desserts, everything is homemade! there are 30 seats in the dining room and a large terrace for fine weather (40 seats).
