The shock of frescoes. On the outside, the little 19th-century church is totally unremarkable. And even, let's face it, uninteresting. But once you've pushed open the door? the shock is powerful. From wall to ceiling, immense frescoes in primary colors depict biblical scenes: the Crucifixion, the Nativity, the Old and New Testaments? Scenes in symbolic colors echoed in the stained glass windows. Created between 1986 and 1995 by Gabriel Chabrat, a local painter, these paintings lend a rare power to the place, making it a timeless space conducive to reflection.
