Starting in the village of Sainte-Terre, from the church of Saint-Alexis, this pleasant 6.4 km walk takes you along the banks of the Dordogne.

This 18km off-road trail between the Saint-Emilion vineyards and the Dordogne offers some lovely views. It follows a 1 km stretch of grass track, which requires a mountain bike or all-terrain vehicle.

Saint-Pierre church is located on a hill overlooking the Dordogne valley (one of the most beautiful panoramas of the region). The building, although largely Gothic, is Romanesque at the base (as evidenced by its south wall from the 11th century). In the 14th century, the church was rebuilt. The single nave (composed of cross vaults with ribbed vaults, ending in a flat chevet), as well as the western façade and its bell tower-wall date from this period. Another phase of construction takes place towards the end of the 15th century (or at the beginning of the 16th century): the north aisle is then built and the bell-tower-wall is transformed into a bell-tower. The choir of the church is decorated with paintings dating from the mid-19th century.

The church of Sainte-Florence, in Romanesque style, consists of a single nave. On the east side, the building ends with a semi-circular apse. In its western part, the wall-gabled bell tower surmounts a Romanesque portal (itself protected by a very beautiful modern porch that probably dates back to the 17th-18th century). The interior of the building contains, on the south wall, traces of painted decoration (dating from the late Gothic period). The church of Sainte-Florence was especially famous for its pilgrimage to the Virgin, in connection with a fountain known as "miraculous" (located below the church).

The church of Saint-Michel, in neo-Gothic style, dates back to the second half of the 19th century. It replaced the Romanesque church that once existed on this same site. The building is composed of a bell tower with a spire (which surmounts a porch) The church, which has a single nave, has preserved a painted decoration, in which is represented the blessing Christ holding a banner An iron mission cross, also dating from the second half of the 19th century, is located in the church square.

The church is mentioned (as is the parish of Pujols) between the end of the 12th and the beginning of the 13th century. The building, which is fortified, has a vaulted apse in cul-de-four (dating from the end of the 12th century and which corresponds to the late Romanesque). In the 16th century, a single nave with four bays was rebuilt and vaulted (with cross vaults). The southern entrance, the southern chapel and the façade are from the same period. In the 19th century, damage to the north and south walls forced the restoration of the building: the double arches were repaired, the top of the apse was rebuilt and iron tie rods were installed. The church also has remarkable elements such as: its western façade and its portal (from the 16th century), a keystone representing a scene of the Annunciation, or a sarcophagus (from the Merovingian period).

Pujols-sur-Dordogne is situated on a promontory overlooking the Escouach valley and the alluvial plain of the Dordogne.

The church of Saint-Laurent, of Romanesque foundation, was initially dedicated to Saint Eulalie. In the 12th century, it had a single nave. It seems that there was a polygonal apse in place of the present flat chevet. Outside the church, the entrance is crowned by a two-bay gabled bell tower which houses a bronze bell from the end of the 16th century. Also in the 16th century, two side chapels were added to the building. The building contains other remarkable elements such as the stone decoration of the choir (15th century), and in one of the chapels, fragments of a 16th century wall painting (showing Christ in majesty surrounded by the Tetramorph).

The seigneury and the castle of Pujols belonged in the 14th century to the de Gensac family, who also owned the castle of Rauzan. After many changes, the King of England gave this lordship in 1439 to his favourite Bernard Angevin; thereafter, and until the Revolution, the barony of Pujols remained in the hands of the lords of Rauzan, that is to say the Durfort de Duras. Declared a "national asset" because of the emigration of its castellans, the castle was acquired by the commune which installed the town hall there. The ramparts were destroyed, according to Léo Drouyn, around 1830.
