This easy loop combines two UNESCO World Heritage sites. After a visit to the Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-fin-des-Terres, the tour takes you through the narrow streets of the pretty seaside resort, from the colorful houses of Soulac to the bunkers of the Atlantic Wall in the village of Les Arros. You walk along the beach, with the Cordouan lighthouse towering over the horizon. You'll ride along a dune line populated by oyats, laurel, yucca, broom and arbutus. A must: pedal during the yucca flowering period in summer, or between the red arbutus in autumn, breathing in the fragrance of the plants.

You can book either the "Étage" (upstairs) of the house, which can accommodate 1 to 4 people, with its two bedrooms and bathroom, or the "Annexe", which is a room in a wooden chalet in the garden, with its own shower room and separate entrance to the property. You will have free access to our living room and wifi. Each room has its own private terrace. Breakfast is included. You can relax either on the terrace reserved for the occupants of the "Étage" or on the private wooden terrace of the "Annexe". For your complete well-being, we also offer (at an additional cost) access to our private balneotherapy spa, as well as relaxation, sophrology and reiki sessions. Sleeping arrangements: - "l'Étage" comprises two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed (160cm), and the other with two single beds (90cm). Sleeps 1 to 4 people. Both bedrooms have private bathrooms. The accommodation is for the same family only (there is no sharing with strangers). If you come as a couple, you can choose your room with either a double bed or two single beds. If you wish to have your own room, the "3 people" rate will apply. - The "Annexe" has a double bed (160 cm). On specific request, the rooms can be opened outside the indicated opening periods.

The Cordouan lighthouse, located at the mouth of the Gironde estuary, is the only lighthouse on the French coast still manned, the oldest still in operation and the only one in the world open to visitors. An absolutely unique site, it offers an exceptional view of the Gironde and the coasts of Royandy and the Médoc as a reward for climbing the 311 steps leading up to the lantern. Its classification as a Monument Historique in 1862, the same year as Notre-Dame de Paris, speaks volumes for the beauty of its castle-like architecture. The rocky islet on which it rests, completely covered at high tide, shelters an environment rich in plant and animal species. At low tide, the guardians welcome visitors, inviting them to discover this magical world. Without doubt, an unforgettable experience.

The Pointe de Grave is the extreme north of the Médoc, between Bordeaux and the Atlantic Ocean. It is located at the mouth of the Gironde Estuary, opposite the town of Royan. This geographical configuration, unique in France, makes it of great ornithological interest during pre-marital migration: the "funnel" effect concentrates the birds that migrate along the coast and those that, further inland, are reluctant to cross the estuary and follow the bank to its end. These two flows then converge above the Pointe de Grave before crossing the estuary in the direction of the Charente-Maritime and, beyond, towards Northern Europe and Siberia LPO Aquitaine coordinates the scientific monitoring of the migration, carried out every year from March to May. More than a hundred species are observed during the three months of monitoring.
