Discover the many fountains of Moncaup. This walk, steeped in history, takes you through the woods of Moncaup with its typical species, crossing meadows and vineyards. Its undulating and shaded relief offers very contrasting views and atmospheres.

Situated on the borders of Bearn, facing Armagnac and Bigorre, Lembeye occupies a strategic position on a branch of the road to Compostela. To resist the inevitable incursions of its neighbours, the village was built as a bastide towards the end of the 13th century. After becoming Protestant in the 16th century, Lembeye was devastated during the Wars of Religion and burnt down by Catholic troops at the beginning of the 17th century, which led to the reconstruction of most of the houses in the village. A circuit of about 2 km will lead you to discover the bastide. You will discover the Place Marcadieu with its 18th century houses, the Clock Tower, the Hautes Promenades path with its view of the Pyrenees mountain range, the gothic style church and its flamboyant style portal..

Aesthetic and varied, this tour follows a countryside that inspires tranquility. The tour of the lakes and the shaded areas are very pleasant. To be practiced all year round without moderation!

Sports lovers will love this circuit! It has some difficult climbs in store, but also some magnificent sections such as the Tram line or the descent of the bridge heading. As for the panoramas over the Pyrenees, they are simply exceptional!

It is a journey back in time that this walk from Lembeye evokes. From 1904 to 1931, the Vic-Bilh was crossed by the steam railway line, also known as the "tram line", which linked Pau to Lembeye. Along this path, you will discover several structures (bridges, waterfalls, stone embankments...) that bear witness to this passage.

Lembeye, "which arouses envy", as its Bearnais name indicates, is an ancient bastide of the Vic-Bilh which dominates, at 311 m of altitude, the valley of the Lees to the west, offering towards the south a beautiful panorama on the chain of the Pyrenees The walk connects the clock tower to the church Notre-Dame de-l'Assomption by a small one-way street serving local residents. Children with their bikes will enjoy riding around the nearby Bassillon-Vauzé lake.

Located in the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh vineyards, Clos Basté is a 10 ha vineyard, working according to the principles of certified organic farming. The estate offers a magnificent view of the Pyrenees and the Béarn hills. It is located in the village of Moncaup, known for its many fountains. Chantal and Philippe Mur offer you a guided tour of the winery and vineyards by appointment, a tasting of several wines and a sale at the property. They will help you discover their passion for wine and the terroir. From mid-July to the end of August, they organise winegrowers' aperitifs every Thursday at 6pm.
