South of Richard's lighthouse, the small port of Goulée welcomes a few pleasure boats. The perimeter of the basin is very well laid out for a stopover and even a pleasant picnic in the middle of resplendent plant beds. Towards the end of the 18th century, the new cultivation of vines favoured the expansion of this small port, whose activity was then divided between fishing and river transport. This last activity decreased around 1870, as the railway replaced river transport. The port still has its small fishermen's huts and has more pleasure boats than fishing boats. The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a pushchair or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), proposed by the Fédération Française de Randonnée de la Gironde.

Following the mouth of the Gironde, the path of the legend of Amadour then crosses the route of prestigious wine estates, Médoc grands crus such as Château Lafite-Rothschild and Château Grand-Puy Ducasse. Upon arriving in Pauillac, the walk ends along the quays, where one can see the Patiras lighthouse, which has guided ships from its island for more than 100 years.

He bought vines of about thirty years old as well as a 19th century mansion built by a family of Dutch engineers who came to clean up the Médoc marshes in the 17th century. Until 1994, the harvests were vinified in a cooperative cellar. 1995 is the first vintage to be vinified directly by the owner. Since 2003, the property has been recognised as a "Cru Bourgeois".

The port is located in the estey de By, where the Grand chenal de By and Petit chenal de By join. The remains of the old inclined slipway with a few mooring bollards can still be seen on the north bank of the Grand Chenal. Pegs and a few wooden pontoons are used to moor boats. The water level is regulated by a floodgate, equipped upstream with two sliding shovels. The gate forms a bridge over the channel, which is crossed by Route Départementale No. 2. At the end of the 20th century, the transport of goods, in particular wine shipped to the Charente, declined, leading to the abandonment and disappearance of the slipway, and the conversion of the quay into a picnic area.

The château La Tour de By welcomes you with a tour of the old vatroom, the collection of viticulture tools and cooperage. Different wines tastings and several vintages will be offered to you for free. Visitors can have a walk as their convenience around the vineyard observing the panoramic view on the Gironde estuary from the impressive Tour de By who was a lighthouse in 1825.

By 1868, production had risen to 130 barrels on the Troussas estate, thanks to Philippe Brannens. In 1877, he commissioned the architect Bonnore to build the château that was first named after the locality in 1880. In 1890, it was renamed Château de Ricaudet-Troussas to distinguish it from a château bearing the same name. The château remained in the Brannens family until early 1950.

Dating back to the 17th century, Château Bellerive boasts a 19th-century Victorian winery set in extensive grounds, with breathtaking views over the Gironde Estuary and a collection of rare old English roses. The parish of Valeyrac was first mentioned in 1317. Since the Middle Ages, it has been part of the archpriesthood of Lesparre. Unfortunately, nothing remains of the original parish today, as the commune had a new church built in 1850. Paul Abadie, the architect in charge of the project, submitted plans, estimates and specifications for a neo-Romanesque church. His name is mentioned on the altar of the Virgin. The work was then monitored and supervised by Jean Hosteing, an architect from the Médoc. The work was completed in 1858 and the fittings in 1892 with the installation of the bell.

The lighthouse of Richard houses a museum of estuarine life since the 19th century, oyster farming, fishing, marking.
