A route without any difficulty in a loop of the Garonne where orchards and poplar plantations share the space. About 4 km away, not far from the canal, in the direction of Montesquieu, don't miss the Orchard Conservatory of Aquitaine Fruit Species.

Situated at an altitude of 200 m, Montagnac offers a 360° panorama on the "sea of hills" that it dominates. Above the traditional stone houses, the large tower of the church steeple asserts the silhouette of the village. From the covered way running around the surrounding walls, the view extends over the Landes, the Lomagne, the Garonne valley and, on a clear day, over the Pyrenees mountain range. The colourful mosaic of the hillsides reveals the richness of the land: vineyards and orchards, cereals and sunflowers, woods and meadows, all landscapes to be admired along this circuit where the built heritage and the numerous pigeon lofts also play an important role, and reflect the prosperity of the hillsides.

This loop is the most physical of the three proposed in the Confluent. The main climbs are at Bazens (approx. 7% over 1500 m), St-Salvy (5% over 1800 m), Grand Tour (7% over 900 m) and St-Médard (6% over 1800 m). From the promontory village of Clermont-Dessous, dominated by its fortified church and castle, the route descends into the Masse valley. On the hill opposite, Bazens was the episcopal court of the bishops of Agen in the 16th century.

This circuit offers different points of view on the promontory village of Clermont-Dessous, from the top to the bottom, but also from the back. The first view is of the plain of the Garonne, the hills of Gascony and sometimes the Pyrenean peaks.

"Clermont", from "clarus mons", means the clear mountain and "Dessous" refers to its location downstream from the Garonne. Standing on a rocky spur, this small village with its majestic architecture stands out in the distance between sky and earth. The tour starts in apple orchards, before climbing the hill, offering vast panoramas over the Garonne valley and the hillsides of the Pays de Serres. After a long descent into the valley of the Masse, a small road leads gradually up to the panoramic site of Bazens. The church and the castle were a possession of the bishops of Agen since the Middle Ages. Bazens was the privileged residence of the della Rovere family at the beginning of the 16th century and later of Bishop Matteo Bandello.

Les vergers de Briteste , a tree farm whose main activity is the production of IGP mi-cuit Agen prunes. We are two brothers, partners in a cooperative on this 105-hectare farm that used to belong to our parents. Our 40-hectare orchard is planted mainly with Ente plums, from which we make our semi-cooked prune. All processing is carried out on the farm. We market all our prunes as semi-cooked and direct sales, to producers' stores and a few distributors. We also take part in numerous gastronomic shows throughout the year. Our plum trees are cultivated using sustainable methods, and we use dynamized water to produce prunes of the highest gustatory quality.
