Robehomme is the only promontory amidst the Dives and Divette marshes. Up to the 19th century, during high tides, the sea covered the land as far as Troarn and Robehomme was transformed into an island. During the Second World War, the Germans flooded these marshes to hinder the Allies.

Le Vallon, located between rue du Muguet and rue du Chanoine Longuet, is a welcoming place for strolling, picnicking and outdoor activities. The Church of Sainte-Croix is a neo-Romanesque church, rebuilt in 1890 and restored after the Second World War. It contains the tomb of Chevalier Hugues, a sarcophagus found in 1909 in the remains of the Saint-Martin abbey church.

Situated on the edge of the Caen plain and the Auge valley, the Saint-Martin de Troarn abbey enjoyed a prestigious past, from its foundation in 1048 to the Hundred Years' War of 1380-1450. Plundered by the troops of King Henry V of England, it was rebuilt under the reign of Charles VII. A century later, the abbey was again hard hit by the Wars of Religion. Two centuries of slow decline followed. In 1728, there were just 7 monks, compared with 44 at the end of the 13th century. The abbey was dismantled during the French Revolution. Today, only a few vestiges remain, the most important of which is the building that bordered the south-western part of the former cloister.

Discover the Poterie du Mesnil de Bavent, built in 1842, with its traditional Norman architecture. Here you can admire the ceramic finials that can be seen on the roofs of some of the villas in the area. You will then pass through the pottery workshop, where craftsmen shape blocks of clay before your very eyes, perpetuating the movements handed down by potters since the 19th century. Finally, end your visit in the manor house, where furniture from the period of its construction still resides.
