This 37.5 km itinerary on the Millevaches plateau takes in 2 towns that are essential to the history of tapestry in the Creuse: Aubusson and Felletin, both of which have a rich heritage. It first follows the GR ®4/GR®46 to take you into the Marche et Combrailles region, and returns to Felletin via the GR®89 chemin de Montaigne through the Creuse bocage. It can easily be done in 2 directions, and the stopover at Saint Pardoux d?Arnet makes it possible to roam over 2 days. This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Departing from a train station or TER bus stop, it allows you to join a walking or hiking itinerary, and take a stroll in ecomobility!

This impressive vault is carved from local granite and richly decorated. The symbols of the Compagnons, animal, plant and geometric decorations, the scales, the Phrygian bonnet, a sword and a ciborium are all represented in a conventional, classical or more original manner. It is topped by a large stone ball, which, it is said, used to rotate. The architectural richness of our religious buildings and local rural heritage is reflected in the work of the stonemasons of the Creuse who have left the mark of their skills.

Also called "Limousin Mountain" this large granitic plateau straddles the departments of Corrèze, Creuse and Haute-Vienne. Peat bogs, dry moors with heather, deciduous forests and meadows all contribute to its authentic landscapes.

In addition to two 17th- and 18th-century statues of Virgins with Child and a statue of an unidentified local saint (bearded, hands clasped, apparently with an iron on the wrist), Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church is home to a fine 18th-century ensemble comprising 2 altar tiers on either side of a tabernacle, surmounted by a tabernacle with wings and an exposition crowned with a Christ on the Cross. The bottoms of the tabernacle niches are painted to give the illusion of marble. From left to right, the winged tabernacle niches feature statuettes of St. Paul, a holy priest holding his biretta, an angel (?), St. Peter (?). Of course, the traditional decorations of cherubs, foliage, fruit, twisted columns, garlands and foliage adorn the whole.

In front of the church stands an astonishing two-sided cross-calvary (1431), a naïve masterpiece of granite sculpture that inevitably evokes similar Breton monuments. It must have stood in front of the former cemetery, which has now been moved. It consists of a monolithic shaft surrounded by a garland of sculpted foliage. One side represents Christ, the other the Virgin. The 6-metre-high cross was carved from solid stone. It was the victim of an accident during the Revolution, and had to be repaired, as can be seen from the iron ring on the shaft.

Listed and protected as a historical monument, the Blessac dolmen, known as Pierre-la-Fade (or fairy stone), dates back to the Neolithic period and, like most European dolmens, was built between the end of the 5th millennium and the end of the 3rd millennium BC. In the collective imagination, the Fades or fairies are genies of the air, woods, rocks and water who generally live in groups of three, hiding during the day in the crevices of the rocks that serve as their homes, and emerging at dusk. This is why many dolmens are associated with the legend of fairies, and have become places of belief and superstition. A collective burial site, this rectangular dolmen would have had four supports and a table formed from two juxtaposed blocks.

This stele dates from the second millennium BC. This menhir is rather unusual, at least for our region. Modest in size (1.35 metres), it features crude carvings of a figure. This menhir is similar to those seen in the south of France, particularly Corsica. It was later Christianized by carving a cross under the large human head.
