Poitiers is well worth a visit, particularly for its cathedral. This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. This circuit will enable you to walk along the paths of the communes of Ménigoute and Fomperron. You will discover in particular the site of the pond of Bois Pouvreau and its granite chaos, the perennial source of Fomperron or the place of the cloisters of Ménigoute.

Take the time to observe the fauna and flora of the Gâtinaise in the commune of Ménigoute, in the heart of the Vonne valley. You will certainly come across some granite chaos on your way! This marvel of Romanesque art has a magnificent chevet with buttresses and columns on the banks of the Vonne. The artists of the time put all their talent in the realization of the decorations and the sculptures of the chevet. The large gothic bay on the west façade was reopened in 1994. Following a competition, a stained glass window in fused glass, the work of Thierry Gilhodez, was installed in 1999.
