This marvel of Romanesque art has a magnificent chevet with buttresses and columns on the banks of the Vonne. The artists of the time put all their talent in the realization of the decorations and the sculptures of the chevet. The large gothic bay on the west façade was reopened in 1994. Following a competition, a stained glass window in fused glass, the work of Thierry Gilhodez, was installed in 1999.
Under the upper part, in yellow, different shades of blue evoke the purifying water. The other bays have been provided with stained glass windows made by the glassmakers Gilhodez, Guevel and Fanjat, made in 2005 on the theme of baptismal water
The nearby washhouse receives water from the Saint-Macou fountain, a resurgence of water whose source is under the choir of the church.
