The church Saint-Martin of Auxais called "cathedral des Rozs" was bombed on June 24th, 1944 by the allied aviation for its stratégic point of view over the marshlands. At the end of the fightings, the City Council decided to preserve the church Saint-Martin as a ruin, in tribute to the victims of the 1944.
