Pandrignes has a charming little village dominated by its church, a conservatory orchard where pear trees, apple trees, cherry trees, plum trees and chestnut trees are waiting for you ... you will walk on the traces of an old railway with its old station, its traditional stone bridges and will see the charming private castles of La Rochette and Puy de Val ..

To the east of the village, situated between two valleys, where this circuit winds its way, the plateau is cut by the Rondelle stream, which receives the Argeassou before joining the Saint-Bonnette, (also called locally Avalouze!)... Wooded slopes, grassy bottoms, the villages stretch out over the long peaks. A low dry stone wall will lead you to a pretty 12th century church with a traditional bell tower. Opposite it, a 14th century limestone cross presents several finely chiselled scenes.

Let yourself be surprised by this unusual walk. Each of the sculptures is marked out with stones sculpted in granite and evokes a theme linked to the history and life of the commune: the vine, water, the spring, the hamlets, the localities, the public square. You will also be able to appreciate the viewpoints towards the 4 cardinal points.

These wide paths and undergrowth in places will allow you to discover beautiful landscapes modulated by the Argentat fault and several elements of our small heritage: wells with a coping stone, a malted cross, a good Saint-Pierre fountain, a wooden mission cross and a beautiful Latin cross sculpted with a naive Christ in Vieillemaringe...

Surrounded by wooded hills, the village on its rocky outcrop with its 12th century church dominates the St Bonnette valley. On the old railway line, you can play hide and seek with the river. The "Pont Vilain" will observe you in the absence of the "tacots" and "Michelines". A 2 km variant for families.

Starting from the church, you will see the beautifully restored village weighing scale and will cross several small hamlets including Saint-Agnol, in the heart of a grassy valley offering superb panoramas.

A very nice (very) hilly road bike route, which crosses the wild Dordogne valley several times, notably via the impressive Chastang dam. The route starts from the small village of Espagnac, then follows the Doustre gorges, with superb views of La Roche-Basse. It then crosses the Dordogne at the Barrage du Chastang, before climbing to the village of Servières-le-Château (Côte de Servières). After a flatter section to Auriac, a steep descent leads to the Pont du Chambon, a cast iron suspension bridge. A 5km climb (Côte des Charbonniers) brings you back to the plateau before finishing the last 20km more quietly...

These paths take you through meadows, valleys and villages shaped by the Argentat fault where antimony was mined in the 19th century! Take in the charming village of Chanac-les-Mines, its church and contemporary fountain, and relax by the shady abreauvoir. Finish the hike with a panoramic view of the village, then further on, a lovely view of the Montane.

You will follow the old Argentat-Tulle train track, then you will go up to the village of Marc-le-Vieux from where you will dominate the Souvigne valley before going down to the village of Saint-Sylvain.

Marc-la-Tour offers an unusual walk, lined with stones sculpted from granite, evoking the history of the village. It's here, in the village of Marc-la-Tour, home to an international biennial, that this circuit begins, following part of the old railroad line of the "POC", the Paris? Orleans? Corrèze. Attractions in the village include the 19th-century Saint-Nicolas church; the Bacchus fountain, a symbol of the village?s wine-growing past; and the stone workshop, open on Saturday mornings.

The sculpture garden is a real treasure trove hidden away in this small village of 150 souls. This totally unusual place features the work of stone sculptors from all over the world: Africa, Asia, Central America, Oceania and Europe. You'll also find sculptures scattered along the stone walk that enter into a dialogue with the village of Marc-la-Tour. Terra Aventura geocaching is another great way to discover the area. A guided tour of the gardens "De la place du village au jardin de sculpture : Marc-la-Tour, village sculpté" is offered by the Fragments association. You can visit the Atelier des Sculptures every Saturday from 9am to 12pm all year round, as stone sculptors visit the workshop every Saturday.

As you stroll along the paths, Espagnac reveals its rich past around the restored and illuminated 15th-century church. Inside, discover the shrine, polychrome wooden statues and trompe l'oeil murals. Its forecourt hosts a village market every Saturday evening in summer, as well as a Christmas market for the festive season. Don't miss the Gare du Tacot, a tribute to the old metric railway line that linked Tulle to Ussel. During the summer, you can discover its history at an exhibition.

It has had several patron saints. Today, it is dedicated to St. Madeleine. Parts of the church are very old parts of the church, notably the barrel vaults, which date its construction to between 1150 and 1220. It features modillions in the purest Romanesque style, with human and animal heads, including the devil. The walls feature 2 types of stone, easily distinguishable (for example, in the porch): the pink stones are those of the former building, which burned down during the Wars of Religion (second half of the 16th century, particularly around 1590 with the fratricidal struggles between the League and Protestants). Before 1827, the church had a bell tower-wall with a campanile of four bells, typical of the region. The building was restored in the 17th and 19th centuries, as it was in danger of collapsing.
