
A very nice (very) hilly road bike route, which crosses the wild Dordogne valley several times, notably via the impressive Chastang dam. The route starts from the small village of Espagnac, then follows the Doustre gorges, with superb views of La Roche-Basse. It then crosses the Dordogne at the Barrage du Chastang, before climbing to the village of Servières-le-Château (Côte de Servières). After a flatter section to Auriac, a steep descent leads to the Pont du Chambon, a cast iron suspension bridge. A 5km climb (Côte des Charbonniers) brings you back to the plateau before finishing the last 20km more quietly...
