Saint-Martin Church is located in the heart of the village of Egreville. It is built on the foundations and some walls of an earlier chapel that disappeared in a large fire in the 13th century. It was damaged during the hundred-year war and rebuilt in the 15th century. The belfry that served as a watchtower is attached to the church in the sixteenth century and becomes its main entrance. At the Village Musée du Der, you can discover the incredible story of the three villages that disappeared to make way for the construction of Lac du Der (the largest artificial lake in Europe). Several typical buildings were saved from destruction or drowning and rebuilt on the museum site: the church in Nuisement-aux-Bois, the Blacksmith's House, the dovecote, etc.

Built in 11th century, a great fire partiatly destroyed the church in 1157. The church was rapidly restored thanks to the explotation of its relics. Being the addition of varied architectural styles, Saint Ayoul church is a composite monument. The transept still has its 11th century's aspect, the nave from 13th century and early 16th. The frontage is simple whereas the interior is of a great complexity. Awfully mutilated, the main gate of the frontage mentions the golden age of gothic era with its statues. The frontcourt of the church was the first place of trade and fairs in Provins. In 1990, the monument was enriched by and exceptional gate with bronze sculptures made by the contemporary artist Georges Jean Clos ( 1933-1998).

This church owes its name to the bringing of a bit of a the Croic de Terre Sainte by Thinaut the 4th in 1237. It was built during 13th century, but after a fire in 1309, it was restored in 16th century. The main gate is from the Renaissance. When you get near Provins, you notice the shapes of Ceasar's Tower and of the dome of the Collégiale Saint-Quiriace. Built in 12th century, the lack of money under the reign of Philippe le Bel the following century let the construction of the monument unachieved.
