It is at the end of this long gastronomic journey that André and his wife Florence offer you the chance to discover refined, market and local cuisine with a south-western accent, in the completely new setting of their inn, now known as the LAMINAK.

Saint-Mathieu church was re-edited in 1862 by Reimbeau. The old church dated from 1818. Saint-Mathieu church is located in the southern part of the village. It has an elongated plan. The single nave is followed by the choir in the form of a semicircular apse; the liturgical choir encroaches on the last part of the nave. The sacristy backs onto the north side of the nave and the timber-framed bell tower tops the ridge of the nave on the east side. A spiral staircase in the south-west corner of the nave leads to an organ loft, from which a ladder provides access to the attic. The building is built of limestone rubble with ashlar stringcourses, except for the west facade, which is of small and medium ashlar from Dom-le-Mesnil, and the brick buttresses. The inside faces of the walls are rendered. The floor of the central aisle of the nave and choir is covered with a checkerboard pattern of black, grey and white marble. The building has a single storey with large, medium-sized semi-circular windows. The nave is covered by a false barrel vault and the choir by a false cul-de-four. The entire building has a slate roof. The nave and sacristy are covered by long-sloped roofs, the apse by a round hipped roof and the bell tower by a broken pavilion roof.

The Charleville-Mézières Animal Park, located between Saint-Laurent and Aiglemont, combines the pleasure of a walk with the discovery of animals. Visitors can enjoy walks of varying lengths along two landscaped trails. Wild boar, roe deer and stags live in semi-liberty in vast enclosures. All along the wooded paths, a variety of birds, pigeons and pheasants, housed in aviaries, enhance the visit. Each enclosure has a terminal providing information on the species: its origin, its footprint, its diet, etc. The marked trails allow visitors to enjoy the park for 45 minutes to 1? hours, depending on their choice of route. With a total surface area of 35 hectares, the park is also equipped with two observation posts allowing visitors to overlook the enclosures and easily photograph the animals. The park is also home to free-roaming wildlife that can be observed by looking up into the treetops, so don't hesitate to take binoculars with you.

3D relief stained glass windows depicting John Paul II can be seen on the lower right-hand side, created by Pascal Gerôme. The preaching pulpit by the Aubry brothers is part of the furnishings. Some of the furnishings come from the former church, which was demolished in 1836: they include Gilbert Gossart's tombstone dating from 1622, the high altar designed by Jean-Baptiste Robillon in 1745, and the secondary altars with their paintings by Tonnelier in 1826 and 1827. When the current building was erected in 1838, new furnishings were added, including statues and a pulpit designed by the Aubry brothers, as well as paintings, pews and a rostrum. This furnishing campaign continued until the end of the century, with the addition of the sacristy cabinet in 1878, the stained glass windows in the 1880s and the reliquary of Saint Quentin in 1898. In the 20th century, the stained glass windows damaged during the First World War were replaced by those created by Jacques Simon and A. Ruchon.

The site's history is closely linked to the founding of Aiglemont, which was once made up of four villages: Champeau, Manicourt, Gesly and Eslemont, which later became Aiglemont. The chapel dedicated to Saint-Quentin, built in the 9th century to house his relics, was replaced by a church in the 12th century, which escaped the fires of 1521. Later abandoned, the chapel continued to be used as a burial ground until 1879. In 1634, a small chapel dedicated to Saint-Quentin was erected on the old shrine. Pilgrimages to Saint-Quentin began in 1872 and lasted until the 1950s, when the site fell into disrepair, degraded by time and looting.

Notre-Dame church must date back to the Middle Ages, probably to the 12th century based on the shape of the bays in the south wall of the nave and the walled arcades on the north side (remains of a demolished or unbuilt aisle). The western portal appears to have been rebuilt in the 19th century. Notre-Dame church, located in the centre of the village, has an elongated plan with a single nave. It is preceded by an entrance vestibule topped by a timber-framed bell tower. The choir, aligned with the nave, comprises a straight bay and a three-sided apse, with a sacristy adjoining the north side. The building is made of limestone rubble with a Dom-le-Mesnil ashlar chain. The interior walls are plastered, and the floor is made of blue and violet slate tiles. The church has only one level: the north wall of the nave has walled arcades with rectangular bays, while the south wall has narrow lancet bays. The choir is illuminated by a large bay with a filling. The interior is covered by a false barrel vault. The nave and choir have long-sloped roofs, the apse a polygonal hipped roof, the sacristy a shed roof and the bell tower a polygonal spire.

Saint-Laurent church, in the centre of the village, dates back to the 12th century, with a choir and bell tower built around 1200. Two chapels forming a transept and a sacristy were added in the 17th or 18th centuries. The nave, which is older, was remodelled with rib vaults and new bays in the 19th century. The bell tower also had its openings rebuilt at the beginning of the same century. Work was undertaken in 1783 following damage caused by lightning. With a Latin cross floor plan, the building comprises a single nave preceded by a bell tower, a choir with two straight bays extended by a three-sided apse, and two chapels forming a false transept. The sacristy, located near the south chapel, blends in harmoniously with the rest of the building. Built of limestone rubble with ashlar chains, the interior of the church is of exposed stone. The nave has a cement floor, while the choir has a Tournai stone floor. Ribbed vaults cover the main spaces, while the chapels have ceilings. The entire building is covered in slate: long-sloped roofs for the nave and choir, polygonal hipped roofs for the apse, and a square spire for the bell tower.

The church has a monumental organ, said to have come from the collegiate church of Saint Pierre de Mézières. Notre-Dame church is located in the centre of the village. It has an elongated plan. The six-bay, three-vessel nave is preceded by a western section comprising the bell tower flanked by two chapels, the right-hand chapel of which houses the spiral staircase. The choir consists of a straight bay and a semicircular apse with a polygonal volume. The sacristy is set in the corner formed by the choir and the left side aisle. The building is built of schist rubble, but the quoins, bays and cornices are of Dom-le-Mesnil ashlar. The floor of the nave is covered with large limestone slabs and that of the choir (as well as the liturgical choir which extends into the last bays of the nave) with a checkerboard pattern of veined black and grey marble tiles. The inside faces of the walls are plastered. The walls are pierced with semi-circular windows. The main façade, with its ordered elevation, features three semi-circular portals framed by Tuscan pilasters: the smaller side portals are each topped by an oculus and open gables in the shape of a gendarme's hat, and the central portal by three levels of semi-circular bays. The central nave is covered by a false barrel vault supported by large depressed barrel arches with Tuscan columns; the side aisles are covered by false rib vaults. Situated to the south and outside the village, the small rectangular building backs onto the cemetery wall. It is built of rubble stone with an ashlar chain and covered by a slate pavilion roof. The main facade is completely open and enclosed by a wrought iron gate; this part is protected by a small canopy that extends over the roof.

Located on former nurseries and on the site of a Gallo-Roman vicus, the Sarteaux arboretum features around twenty trees native to our region, living hedges and an orchard (mainly composed of apple and pear varieties). Explanatory signs will help visitors to identify each tree. There's also an insect shelter (for bumblebees, ladybirds, lacewings, etc.). The arboretum is open every first Saturday of the month from 9am to 12pm.

The Gallo-Roman remains of Ville-sur-Lumes are located mainly at a place called ‘Les Sarteaux’, to the east of the village centre, which also extends into the neighbouring commune of Saint-Laurent. This archaeological site corresponds to a vicus, a secondary settlement from the Gallo-Roman period, organised around a fanum, a temple in the Celtic tradition. Excavations have revealed water collection and drainage structures, testifying to the ingenuity of the hydraulic systems of the period.

The church of Saint-Côme-Saint-Damien, located in the centre of the village with a south-facing chancel, was built between 1779 and 1780, based on a design dating from 1774. The bell tower bears the date 1779, and an inscription from 1830 on a pillar appears to mark the opening of an arcade linking the bell tower to the font chapel. The parish is mentioned before 1312, and the old church, 17 metres long, had two chapels added in the 18th century. The current church, with its elongated plan, comprises a five-bay nave with three aisles, preceded by a west aisle with the bell tower, framed by the font chapel and a wooden staircase. The choir consists of a straight bay framed by sacristies and a cul-de-four apse. Built of schist and quartzite rubble, with elements of Dom-le-Mesnil ashlar, the church has a floor of Saint-Laurent flagstones in the nave and a checkerboard pattern of black and grey marble in the chancel. The walls, plastered on the inside, are pierced with semi-circular bays. The ordered west facade features a semi-circular portal framed by Tuscan pilasters, bays and a polygonal spire on the bell tower. The nave is covered by a segmental barrel vault supported by Tuscan columns, the side aisles by depressed barrel vaults and the apse by a barrel vault. The church is entirely covered in slate with long-sloped roofs, hipped roofs over the sacristies and a round hipped roof over the apse.
