Starting from Brison St Innocent, this country walk through the woods leads you to the fairies' cave, offering a magnificent view of the Lac du Bourget, the Epine mountain range and Chautagne.

Starting from the Grand Port d'Aix les Bains, this walk will take you alongside France's largest natural lake. The itinerary is suitable for all-comers, in particular the elderly and families with young children in buggies. During this walk along the edge of the vagabond garden, the pond will attract young and old alike. You might even spot some batrachians. The route is dotted with magnificent views of France's largest natural lake and its surrounding mountains. You'll learn about the preservation of the lake environment and its flora and fauna. You'll walk along the water's edge. The comfortable walk ends at the Maison de la Roselière, which has been converted into a nesting box for birds and bats. The final part of the walk, on pontoons, takes you to the Pointe de l'Ardre.

Climb the Montagne de la Biolle through the Corsuet forest and enjoy the breathtaking view from the Belvédère de la Chambotte. An exceptional natural site steeped in history, with free access for walkers and overhanging footbridges... everything has been designed to allow you to discover these places. The tour begins at the Route des Bauges, where a parking area has been created. A footpath leads along the Sierroz, along the canyon banks and over two cantilevered footbridges clinging halfway up the rocks. A footbridge links the left and right banks of the canyon. The walk continues as far as the Grésy waterfall, where a number of viewpoints have been set up. Here you can rediscover industrial buildings (sawmill, mills, oil mill), admire the waterfall, and stop at a number of remarkable viewpoints overlooking the waterfall, the Dalby mill, the vat-type oil press, the canyon...

A stroll along the Gorges du Sierroz is like stepping back in time, to a place steeped in history and legend, where in the 19th century celebrities from all over Europe flocked to sail in a romantic atmosphere. Following Ondine and Jeannette, come and discover this charming place full of mysteries: isn't it said that at the narrowest passage in the gorge, smugglers used to jump from one bank to the other to escape the forces of law and order? It's on the new footbridge that you'll be able to judge these exploits. Continue along the corbelled passages to the Grésy waterfall, where various viewpoints have been set up to enjoy the tumultuous waters of the Sierroz. A stele was erected here by Queen Hortense in 1813 in memory of her friend Baroness Adèle de Broc, who tragically perished in the riverbed. Imagine a visit from Lamartine, Alexandre Dumas or Queen Victoria, and you'll be transported back to the 19th century, in the midst of the Romantic period, just like some illustrious characters! On the way back, don't forget to take a look at the ingenious mechanism of the old mill.

From time to time you pass a small stream running down its slopes. And now it's your turn to start the descent. Soon the countryside gives way to the city, and you cross the town of Aix-les-Bains to reach the lakeside. After such a beautiful loop, there's nothing like a refreshing swim!

The Corsuet Forest, on the outskirts of Aix-les-Bains, is ideal for family excursions and joggers. It offers several lookouts over the Lac du Bourget and the Massif des Bauges. This place of restoration and fresh air has 3 car parks, which act as starting points for several walks. These 4 walks allow you to gain height and reach the various viewpoints overlooking the Lac du Bourget: Sentier du Réservoir (20 minute walk) - Sentier du Renard (30 mins) - Sentier de Corsuet (40 mins) or Sentier du Loup (75 mins). Information boards are placed at intervals, and all walks are signposted.

This restless garden, rich in wild, self-seeding plants, is open to everyone. Unlike other gardens in the French style, this garden seeks to minimise human intervention, and places no boundaries on natural processes; the plants that grow here are left to develop as they please. The gardeners are required to use good observational skills and their knowledge of the species and their behaviour in order to enhance the plants' natural capacities; their role includes planting local species, watering and tending (without fertilisers, pesticides or chemical weeding). Partial mowing creates paths through the long grass, which is popular with walkers.

The Crêt de Monthoux offers breathtaking views of the Dent du Chat, the vineyards and the Chevelu lakes. It's a 5-minute climb from the hamlet. It's also a stopover on the Tour des Lacs de Chevelu hiking trail, a 4h30 loop. Crêt de Monthoux overlooks the unspoilt hamlet of Les Grangeons. This hamlet is made up of old sartos, also known as "grangeons", which have now been restored. These small buildings were used to store tools and preserve wine from the cellars. The Chevelu lakes were formed by the collapse of part of the Dent du Chat after the retreat of the last Würm glaciers. Their surface area is relatively small and their depth does not exceed 8m. Together with the surrounding marshes, springs and streams, they form a natural basin with a high heritage value.
