The Rand'eau is a 4 km walk built around the theme of water. In a route that goes around the village of Mazières-en-Gâtine, you will discover elements of an unsuspected built, natural, industrial and human heritage. It is a path that reveals the importance of water in the village of Mazières-en-Gâtine, water that is often discreet, sometimes hidden and often forgotten. At Secondigny (Plan d'eau des Effres), Pougne (Nombril du Monde) or Parthenay (Voie Verte), take the start for the small or big loop and open your ears wide... Don't leave without admiring the collegiate church portal, the finest example of flamboyant Gothic architecture in the Deux-Sèvres region, and visiting the orchard and medicinal garden. The commandery is not open to the public, except for special events.

The Collegiate Church of Saint Marc-la-Lande, whose construction can be dated to the early 16th century, is the most important flamboyant Gothic building in the Deux-Sèvres region. Its façade and south side are particularly noteworthy. It suffered the ravages of the Wars of Religion and the French Revolution, and its eventful history is one of destruction and rebirth. A parish church, the Collégiale de Saint Marc la Lande is a listed historic monument.

The gardens are a recent creation. It's a young collection of local plants known for their curative but dangerous actions. Traditionally, our ancestors harvested these plants to treat themselves. The Antonines used a preparation of 14 plants, some of which can be found in the garden, to treat "mal des ardents". The orchard features a hundred varieties of apple, pear, grape and rose trees. Created during the renovation of the complex, its purpose is to preserve the memory of many species that have become rare.

In the bocage of the Antonins, is this nature reserve with a remarkable heritage. This area is protected by regulations adapted and managed for conservation purposes, which meet 4 principles: a voluntary approach resulting from a local consensus, an educational role where the area must be a tool for information and awareness, a sustainable approach, recognized ecological issues. The public is only welcomed during accompanied nature outings. However, a marked path with free access allows you to walk along the reserve.
