By some alchemy of colours, the Maronne gorges separate the white Xaintrie from the black Xaintrie to the south. Half of the route takes place in the forest (the name Hautefage refers to the high beech forests) and at the end of the route there is a beautiful view of the Broquerie dam, also known as the Hautefage dam. From the Moulin de l'Hospital, your ascent will take you to the plateaux of Chapelle-Saint-Géraud, where you will be rewarded by the panoramic views from the villages of Chamet and La Grange, typical of the Xaintrie region. You then return to the valley through the undergrowth.

Situated in the south-eastern part of Corrèze, on the border with Cantal, this circuit winds its way across a hilly plateau between the Dordogne Valley, classified as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, the Maronne Valley with its famous Tours de Merle and the Monts d'Auvergne. This is an atypical region with Cantalien influences and incomparable architecture where the first Salers cows were bred.

Winding permanently through shaded undergrowth on either side of the Glane gorges, this physical circuit makes a loop that includes the junction between the village of Servières, with its ancient castle keep, and the magnificent village of Glény on the edge of the Dordogne, with its pretty stone houses with slate or slate roofs. It also goes along the majestic climbing site of N.D du Roc.

La Peyrade is the first treehouse built in 2009 by Fabienne and Vincent. It is the smallest and the most perched. It is nestled 6m high in the hollow of a two-hundred-year-old oak tree, overlooking a terrace with a stream of water lined with aquatic plants. Ideal for a romantic weekend away?

The Cabane du Soleil is the most magical, with its roof in the shape of a witch's hat. Playful and magical, at the end of a forest path in the middle of nowhere, it is reached by a Nepalese bridge. It inspires dreams and the imagination? In summer, a small pond surrounded by plants is set up on the terrace in the branches of the beech tree. From the balcony, you'll have a breathtaking view of the meadow and forest.

La Margo is built between 2 old oak trees, one of which runs through the cabin and the other through the terrace. This cabin is ideal for spending time with family or friends, as it can accommodate up to 8 people. It will surprise you with its play areas, piano, terraces and balcony. In summer, you can enjoy breakfast sitting on the branches of the oak tree, or in winter by the wood-burning stove.

La Cabane du Pêcheur borders a small private pond. You can go boating and fish for carp and roach. Access to the island is via a small bridge, and children can play in the tree house. The barbecue is at your disposal for warm summer evenings, and the stove will warm your winter evenings.

Inaugurated in 1958, this is the smallest dam on the Dordogne, but also an original structure. Far from the spectacular constructions of the past, it gently harnesses water and filters it like an hourglass. Height 35 m. Reservoir 9 km. No inside tour of the dam.

Argentat-sur-Dordogne has been a major trading port for centuries. From the Quai Lestourgie, gabares loaded with wood, leather and oil set sail. Stroll along the old-fashioned cobbled quays and admire the fishermen's houses with their lauze roofs, noble facades and turrets.

The "Gravières" at Argentat is a former riverbed that has been exploited by man for almost a century. Now a bubble of oxygen, it's a small sanctuary classified as a Sensitive Natural Area. Enjoy the place while respecting it. Take time to appreciate the tranquility of the serene waters, to smell nature, to meet the black-headed warbler, the whiskered tern, the bank swallow... This is the promise of a 3.5km walk (1h15). Possibility of a 1.2km loop accessible to PRM. And to make sure you don't miss a thing, set off with the application dedicated to the site's ecosystem, designed to listen, read and play. Let's go for a fun walk...

Right in the heart of the Dordogne Gorges, this former 13th-century château offers traditional cuisine as well as a snack menu. From the terrace you can enjoy a view of the dammed lake surrounded by forest, and take advantage of the park, water activities (canoe, paddle) and children's games.

Il is near the farm with games for children : volleyball, badminton, slide, swing and ping pong...A swimming pool is in the campsite with small and big bath. The camping also have two showers and two toilets, one washbasins for linen and the other for dishes. A refrigerator is at the arrangement. 10 electric connections are available on the camping. No internet access and no wifi on the camping site.
