Vers la Maronne

By some alchemy of colours, the Maronne gorges separate the white Xaintrie from the black Xaintrie to the south. Half of the route takes place in the forest (the name Hautefage refers to the high beech forests) and at the end of the route there is a beautiful view of the Broquerie dam, also known as the Hautefage dam. The wooden balconies that can be seen in the village are former chestnut drying sheds.
