This pear tree bike ride – which departs from the Blegny-Mine mining site – crosses the Basse-Meuse and Pays de Herve, exploring typical landscapes and numerous orchards. This itinerary follows low-traffic roads or those on which motor vehicles are not permitted. This bike ride is part of the “Route du Vergers”. The "Cherry Tree Walk" takes you on a 31km walk over almost flat terrain in the Mosan valley. It passes by the natural sites of the Brock gravel pit (Hermalle-sous-Argenteau) or the Montagne Saint-Pierre, but also by the Fort of Eben-Emael and the lock of Lanaye. Follow the "Arrow + Cherry" signs.

This looped Pear Tree Walk crosses the Basse-Meuse and the Pays de Herve, discovering typical landscapes and numerous orchards. This bike ride will take you along the banks of the Meuse and the Albert canal, in order to discover the natural, cultural, and historic heritage of Basse-Meuse. It mostly covers routes for cyclists and pedestrians or low-traffic roads. In summer, it is possible to do a loop by crossing the border from Lanaye (B) to Eijsden (NL), using the Cramignon ferry and following node points 76, 77, 420, and 414. This bike ride also takes you close to the natural sites of Saint-Pierre Mountain (PN 412) and the Brock quarry pond (PN 44 – Hermalle-sous-Argenteau). Founded in 1216 by Cistercian monks, Notre-Dame du Val-Dieu Abbey is a remarkable group of buildings steeped in history and spirituality, set in a natural environment. Now home to the Val-Dieu Christian Community, it offers visitors a peaceful setting with its park, basilica and signposted walks.The cloister and brewery can only be visited by appointment with a guide. All Val-Dieu beers brewed at the abbey can be tasted at the Casse-Croûte or taken away at the abbey shop. The Courtyard and the Church are always open.

The decanal (i.e. placed under the authority of a dean) church of St Martin and St Hadelin, a former collegiate church, is a neo-Gothic building constructed on a structure dating from the 8th century. The chapter of Celles was transferred there, taking with it the remains of St Hadelin. This monk, a disciple of St Remaclus, lived in Celles in the 7th century. The church has been rebuilt several times over the centuries. The tower was added in the 14th century, the chancel in the 16th century (1524) and the upper sections of the nave in the 18th century (1749). The church was partially destroyed by fire in 1914. The tower, nave and transept were then rebuilt by E Jamar and L Habran in 1921 in the neo-Gothic style. The Gothic chancel from 1524, which escaped the fire, was also restored. Built entirely in limestone, the chancel is made up of two bays and a chevet with three walls. The Gothic arch bay windows are slender with Gothic tracery. The roof of the building is made up of bâtière with three ridges. The neo-Gothic vaults are visible on the outside and date from the rebuilding of the church in the 20th century. The building features furnishings dating from the 16th to 18th centuries, as well as the 20th century, including the hunt of St Hadelin, ornamented in silver and a testimony to Roman art.
