Continue until you reach the fields.5 - Cross, turn right and reach the Guil. Cross the river by a bridge and take a left onto the road. Reach Aiguilles and the point of departure taking the D947.

Fast and refreshing hike with a pretty down-sloping single track in the Mélézin. Cross one of the two bridges, turn left and head up the Guil on a forest track. Take a right at the first intersection. 1 - Turn right again at the next crossing. Continue up on the trail to an altitude of 1 740m. 2 - A track does a hairpin bend and another goes on straight. Continue straight. The path alternates between ascending and descending false flats. Continue for 6km on this track until you reach a characteristic turning area.3 - From here, take the single track on the left. Go down through the forest using a well-rolling trail with a few hairpins and steps.4 - Reach a forest track and turn left. Continue the track towards Aiguilles to the Gouret camp site. Cross the camp site and take the large gravel pathon the left 200m after the camp site. Continue until you reach the fields.5 - Cross, turn right and reach the Guil. Cross the river by a bridge and take a left onto the road. Reach Aiguilles and the point of departure taking the D947.

Le retour se fait part le même chemin.

Take the ascending track that flattens and ends up in a bumpy technical part.5 - Crossing a track, continue straight on for 10m and turn left at the Bois Forant point. Go down a clean and rolling single track that goes from switchback to switchback. Emerge on a broader path, turn right and reach the Chanteloube forest road (ascending path).6 - Turn right and follow the track until Aiguilles.

This round trip circuit allows you to reach the villages of Aiguilles and Abriès Cross one of the two bridges, turn left and head up the Guil on a good forest track.1 - At the first intersection, go down to the left. Cross the Guil again and take a right onto the road. Exit Aiguilles and cross the river once again at the old power plant.2 - Go up a few curves on a forest track, reach some fields and take left. At the top of the parking lot, follow the hairpin bend on the left and at the exit, immediately take the road going up on the right. Follow this road until it becomes a dirt road.1 - From here, turn left and take a rising false flat track. Leave a sheep pen on the right and follow the track going down.2 - Reach a cabin, turn right onto the quickly shrinking track leading to the bottom of the valley in the forgotten hamlet of the Bertins.3 - Reach the GR58, turn left and take the single track. First, follow the bottom of the valley, then join the left mountain slope left continue on the balcony trail. Cross the hamlet of Malrif and after a technical passage (porting is possible), find a balcony single track. Stay on the mountain slope until reaching Abriès and the parking area.

Un peu après la chapelle St Antoine, monter à droite. Continuer la piste jusqu’au torrent du col Saint Martin.1- Sortir de la forêt et traverser le torrent, continuer 300 m sur la piste. Quitter la piste qui fait une épingle à gauche et continuer le long du torrent. Rejoindre une pelouse alpine et un champ de graminées. Suivre le vallon jusqu’au col St Martin.2- Franchir le col et descendre en Italie par un chemin caillouteux et raide. Suivre ce sentier pendant quelques centaines de mètres et tourner à droite. Traverser un éboulis et prendre à gauche pour aller au refuge du Lac Vert. En arrivant du col St Martin, face au refuge, prendre à droite et remonter dans des éboulis sur un chemin plus technique et rejoindre le col Valpréveyre.3- Descendre le vallon du Bouchet par un pierrier un peu raide qui devient rapidement herbeux et moins pentu. Continuer jusqu’au hameau de Valpréveyre. Au niveau de Valpréveyre, traverser le torrent, emprunter à gauche la route sur 50 m, puis tourner à droite et gravir la dernière petite montée. Rester à niveau jusqu’à atteindre le Roux.

After 200m on this path, reach the point"Ancien canal" and continue on a wide path rising slightly.3 - At Pra Roubaud, go through the hamlet downhill, cross a stream and reach the Saint Joseph's Oratory overlooking Le Roux. Go down a good path to reach Le Roux and the main road (GR). Turn left to reach the church, go down to the village to reach the parking lot.

Une belle vue sur le village de Ville Vielle et la vallée du Guil s’offre à vous. Pour la variante monter à droite.3 - Sinon descendre à gauche sur un sentier en pente douce. Rejoindre un sentier plus large. Tourner à droite. Faire 300 mètres et tourner à droite sur le même chemin emprunté à la montée. Rejoindre rapidement le départ.

Take the Chalvet cable car (behind the Tourist Office) 2. On arrival, turn left towards the Terrasses restaurant 3. Continue straight ahead on the track towards Rocher diseur. 4. At Sous le rocher diseur, go straight up the rocky spur towards Rocher diseur. At the top, you can admire a large part of the Clarée valley and in the distance Briançon and its forts. On your right, you will find a military pill 5. Go back the way you came, first under the "rocher diseur", then straight ahead on the track until you come to a crossroads with a path going down on your right, heading back to Montgenèvre. 6. Take the path, which takes you back to the heights of the village. Go down the rue de la Combe. Turn left onto Rue du Rocher de Dix Heures, then left again onto Rue du Praya. At the bottom of Rue du Praya, turn left into Rue de l'Eglise to return to the Tourist Office.

Terzo Alpini is a refuge located in the Vallée Étroite, at an altitude of 1780 m. It is part of the commune of Névache. The Vallée Etroite is part of the commune of Névache, and is a listed and protected site. Managed by Riccardo and Anna Novo, the refuge is open in summer from mid-June to mid-September, and in winter from mid-February to mid-April. Water always finds a way! It seeps into the ground, it moves, it erodes and carves. When the rocks are too hard, the water turns away and looks for an easier way. By its actions, the water erodes rocks and dissolved minerals and carries them away in an anarchic movement. Enriched with gypsum and limestone, water can be in the open here. The limestone will bring forward and trap all kinds of elements (leaves, pines, dead branches).)

From the slope, the view opens up to the lower valley of the Guil. To the left we see the snow-covered Roche des Clots and following on is the Sommet Bucher. At the back, the Point de la Saume and the Pic d'Escreins are also visible.

Following the donation of Louis XIV to embed Catholicism in the Queyras, several chapels were built. They are all built in the same style: the bell tower is built into a wall, the choir is to the east. They are built on an elongated ground plan, with an A-frame roof in schist.

Sheeps play a key role in maintaining the biodiversity. Indeed, the landscapes have been shaped by their presence and their needs in grazing areas and in mowing meadows. The environment has gradually evolved, the large forests have lost in land by giving way to grasslands and biodiversities. Today, without pastoralism, the areas tend to close up and lose their diversity. Careful, excessive exploitation also causes a decrease in biodiversity. A good organization of pastures requires regular monitoring and respecting the life cycle of plants.

By gravity, the water seeps. Sometimes it passes areas which are heated by volcanic activity. The water heats, dissolves minerals it carries and charges up in carbon dioxide. Lightened by the carbon dioxide, it goes back up and retrieves minerals. Once in the open area, the chemical reaction (high level of CO2, air, water movement) allows the limestone to deposit itself on everything it touches. Strategically place any object for several months in the water, it will be petrified.

In spring, the chamois leave the forest which fed and protected them during the winter. Little by little, they go in search of the first tufts of grass. The males find their solitary life they will lead until the rutting (early November). As for the females, they isolate themselves in June to give birth. Going up the forest trail, views of the Guil valley reveal themselves. In the background, you can see the peaks of La Plate and Croseras bounded by the Dent du Ratier mountain. Closer, on the right, the peak of Agrenier overlooks the Guil valley.

Water, the source of life, is becoming a major issue for our civilization. The mountains are huge reservoirs that must be preserved. In Queyras, our forefathers valued this precious resource and each village has several fountains.

Commonly known as firebug, this inodorous bug mesures about 1cm. It lives in small groups often at the base of trees and feeds mainly on seeds. It can also eat the eggs of other insects and even dead insects. Mating occurs in spring, it is amazing due to the fact that it lasts many hours. We can easily observe the individual bugs move around backwards during coupling. The female lays between 50 to 60 eggs in a burrow it digs into a wetland. The larvae hatch in May and become adult at the beginning of winter.

To enter this house of character is to find the atmosphere of a real "fuste" (traditional house of Saint Véran). The rooms, all different, are distributed in this old fuste (traditional habitat of Saint Véran) from the second floor to the roofs. All renovated, they have their own charm with a view on the surrounding mountain. From the attic room to the room with balcony, they offer elegant and functional comfort in a warm atmosphere. They are all equipped with private bathrooms. The rooms can accommodate from 1 to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided. The hosts did not wish to equip the rooms with television or wifi for more conviviality within the house. However, a TV room and a wifi area are available in the living rooms. With family or friends, the living rooms allow you to relax in an authentic setting, by the fire, between stones and old larch. Every evening, we prepare delicious dishes mainly made from local and organic products. They will be served in a restaurant room fitted out in the old sheepfold of the house with the still intact Italian vaults. Don't forget to take your bathing suit to enjoy the sauna!
