Built in 1674, this pretty bridge made of stone was the onlly way to cross the Arve river between Bonneville and Sallanche until 1850, year when the New Bridge (Pont Neuf) was built. The building which contains now the Clock-making and Screw-cutting Museum and City Archives is a former clock-making factory created in the XIXth century and refurbished in 1993. The factory used the energy of the Arve river to make the machines move. You can still see remains of the former hydroelectric installation.
