This mountain bike itinerary knits together the northern and southern flanks of the eastern Luberon. A bumpy and demanding course on the tracks of Giono's paths. Jovial and bright! This trail is never too technically difficult nor too physically easy. Alternating between trails, paths and tracks, it has plenty of surprises in store: fragrant undergrowth, majestic views, a pastoral ravine, a hilltop village and even an eco-museum to while some time... From the Earth to our star! Between harmonious landscapes and a rural heritage, to be paired with the astronomy centre of Haute-Provence. Turn left at the back of the car park, pass the town hall and follow the street to the right for 300m. 1 - Take the little road that goes to the right below the D305 and then take a quick right and go past the cemetery. Go left at the first intersection. After a steep hill, turn right on the small road which turns into a path 200m further. Behind a well marked shift to the right, climb the narrow path to the left. At the top, take the track to the right, then 70m further, continue straight. Turn right again and then left. At the crossroads'Tour de Porchères'', turn left, walk along the tower, go past a house then turn right. Then, from the right, go around the old quarries of Porchères (private property). Take a right at the next Y-shaped fork. 2 - At the crossroads ‘"Petit Sauvan", turn left towards Saint-Jean. Turn left after 150m, then continue straight through a path that narrows down and enters the woods. Reach a track and continue straight along a beautiful house and continue the track. When you come out on the track, turn left on the small road. Go down the road and reach the D305. Continue on the left for 200m. 3 - Turn right, pass between a farm and a shed, then rise slowly. At the first apparent crossroads (transformer) turn left. Go along an old wall, take a slight descend and go up the opposite side of the valley. After a marked turn on the left, turn right and come out on the plateau. Continue straight for 500m. 4 - At the crossroads (point 632), take the path going down to the left and thus reach the D5, a kilometre below. When you come out on the road, take a quick left and take the small road. Continue straight at the next intersection and go down to the village. After the wash-house, turn right and return to the starting point through the streets used to go.

A horseback ride in full which reveals the diversity of the landscapes and the harmony of the rural heritage of the Luberon. Turn left at the back of the parking lot, pass the town hall and follow the street to the right for 300m. 1 - Take two rights. Pass in front of the cemetery, take a left at the 1st intersection and turn right after the steep path. Further down, climb the narrow path to the left. Continue the track, pass a house and turn left on the small road. Descend on the D305 and follow to the left for 200meters (traffic!). 3 - Turn right, go past the shed and ascend calmly (pebbly section). Turn left at the first crossroads, go along an old wall and go down to go up on the plateau. At a series of crossroads, continue straight. Reach to the D5 (traffic!), descend 50m to the right, then turn left. At the crossroads "Le Roure", continue straight. then pass over a home. Take two lefts and reach the D205. Continue on the right until Lincel (traffic!) 4 - In front of the church, turn left and continue straight when exiting the village. Leave the GR on the right to continue on the small road. At the end, go across and pass under a rocky ridge (source) and continue on the path into the woods (smooth slope). After a steep path, take the path on the right going down until the D205. 5 - Follow the road to the right that leads back to St-Michel-l'Observatoire (traffic!). At the entrance of the village, do not turn across the narrow one-way, but continue on the right. At the stop sign, go straight to reach the car park of the starting point.

An exotic loop through fields, cultivated truffle fields and ancient vineyards. From the charming village of Niozelles, the route takes you through the typical agricultural landscape of the Forcalquier region, and on to Pierrerue.

Located on the imperial road that ran from Avignon to Grenoble, the Pont de la Lèche with its wide deck suggests that at one time it was used extensively. Its existence is mentioned as early as 1528.

This discovery trail will take you from the village of Pierrerue to the hamlets of Saint-Pierre and Nevières, along a series of winding paths, taking in the various views over the Forcalquier region.

Exit the village to the west and pass a small bridge. 1- Leave the road in a left turn to continue straight ahead past the campsite and follow the stone road which climbs quickly in the pines towards the plateau. 2- Leave the road on the left and continue straight on the GR®4 and follow the direction Gréoux-les-Bains. 3- Turn left the GR® and cross old fields of lavender then continue in the forest. At the first crossroad, turn left. At the second, with a very large pine tree, turn right. Finally on the third, go left (south-west) towards Gréoux-les-Bains and the Verdon. 4- At the edge of the road, turn left, due south and left again until the D952. Cross it and go down to Verdon. 5- Follow the Verdon on the left for 650m, then at the post arrow follow the path on the left until the D952. Cross it then turn right and continue for 350m until the next post pole. 6- Get to the left and climb towards Buffe Arnaud. 7- At the post pole "Buffe Arnaud", continue straight on towards St-Martin-de-Brômes and follow the ridge to point 2. Then take a right and return by the same way to the starting point.

Since 1922, our mill extracts extra virgin olive oil, a genuine fruit juice, only with mechanical means to olive oil amateurs’ great joy. For more than 40 years we have been making cosmetics and soap made in a cauldron just like Marseille soap. The harvest of olives is done manually with hand and automatic combs to preserve olives quality. Then, we proceed to the grinding of the fruit with a simple mechanical method, without the addition of chemicals or change in temperature. At the end of the grinding, we get an extra virgin olive oil with a free acidity lower than 0.8%. Our mill produces a local extra virgin olive oil. Our olive oil is peppery and refreshing which is specific to the aglandau olives (90%). Kept for the production of acorns and the renewal of forests, some trees measure more than 50cm in diameter. Several hundred years old, they carry with them the signs of aging. A true social housing for insects and bats, these residents occupy the slots and holes made by woodpeckers. To preserve the wood cuts, the trees were inventoried and marked with a white triangle.

If you look to the west, a vast plain extends before you in which natural meadows remain. These "flowering meadows" are made of quality flora to feed herds. Often located on areas at risk of flooding, the grass grows naturally. One of these meadows has been evaluated by a panel of student farmers and was awarded at the International Agricultural Show in Paris in March 2016.

Dated from the 12th century, this tower is classified a historical monument. In the archives, this tower is reported as a barn. It therefore certainly stored crops but probably also served as a watchtower. In 1861, it was converted into a chapel by the owner back then, Léon de Berluc-Perussis. The stone door calls to linger. A village of a dozen families had settled around the tower in the early 17th century.

Built in 1720, this listed 18th-century château is nicknamed "Provence's Little Trianon", and is one of the rare examples of classical architecture in Provence. These open areas have considerably reduced since the late 19th century due to agricultural decline and plantations.
