Before heading back to the village, look up to your left, to the Rock of Castrum and catch a glimpse of the Clock Tower. It was an ancient watchtower built in the 13th century. You can visit the of St. Peter Parish Church built in the 18th century, before stopping at the 18th century castle transformed as a City Hall.

The village of Gréasque, a former mining town benefits from a privileged location between Aix, Marseille and Aubagne. In the village center, beautiful gardens have been set up in the sixteenth century castle’s area that belonged to the family de Castellane. The mining museum is locatet within the Hély Oissel wells. The forests of the Communal Domain which extend to Europe’s oldest mining town’s remains offer pleasant walks, and can be explored by mountain bike or on horseback.

Perched at the foot of the famous Blue Mountain, the Sainte-Victoire, this former mining village, partly restored, has been built next to the railway station and the railway line. In the the village’s steep streets, admire the medieval remains and go under beautiful antique doors. As it is often the case in Aix, you will spot “Cézanne’s mountain” points of view; the mythic mountain, like waves of mineral foam bounding the red and black Arc Basin. After failing the first session of the arts baccalaureate on 4 August 1858, Cézanne passed it on 12 November 1858. The Hostelry in Saint Baume is not a classic hotel. It is a religious house held by friars, the Dominicans. They received : Individuals, couples and families, groups: diocese, parishes, friars, chaplaincies, hikers.

The small unguarded hut you will see is called "Bastidon Pradon". Open to hikers or passing riders, it is freely available. Inside, no mattresses or blankets but enough dishes to eat and warm up. Perfect for a break or a step, the days of big mistral!

Le Mas des Loges is an old 19th-century building set in the heart of the vineyards. Our location enjoys absolute peace and quiet, yet is close to the beaches of St Cyr sur mer and the village of Le Castellet (15 min). This Provencal Mas invites you to rest and relax, surrounded by a magnificent garden of pine, fig and olive trees, with several relaxation areas, a large swimming pool and a boule court. We offer a chambre d'hôte and three gîtes, including L'Atelier. This gîte is part of the main building. It is the most spacious. It can accommodate 4 to 5 people. You enter via a charming stone and terracotta terrace, typical of Provence. On the ground floor, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining table, a sofa bed, a chest of drawers with TV and a separate toilet. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. The first is very bright, with a beautiful view over the vineyards, and features a bathtub, vanity unit, 160x200 bed, desk and large antique wardrobe. The 2nd bedroom has 2 beds 90x190, a chest of drawers and a shower room.

The Mas des Loges is an old building located in the heart of the vineyards and at the foot of the hill. Our gîte les Ecuries has a beautiful view on the swimming pool and the garden (to be shared with the other tenants). It is the furthest from the main building. Private terrace with electric barbecue, fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom. Bed linen, towels and cleaning included in the price. The gîte can accommodate a 5th person.
