Continue to Van Gogh Avenue. Cross it and follow Joseph d'Arbaud Avenue. Continue on the "Chemin Gaulois". Turn left after the canal, then take the old road on the left to Arles until the intersection with the D27. Cross it and continue straight on to St-Etienne du Grès.

Suivre ce chemin balisé PR et GR® sur 1 km et rejoindre le premier carrefour. Emprunter à gauche et revenir au point de départ.

Climb the path to the left. 100 m further, leave the bend on your right and continue passing under the fig tree Follow this marked path for 1 km. 6- At the crossroads, turn left and continue for 500 m. At the cistern with a trough, continue straight on the unmarked path. Make 600 m with a left turn, then a right. 7- Find the marked path PR, follow it on the right, then 50 m further turn left. At the next crossroads, take the path marked PR on the right. Get off, then go up the small valley.8- At the crossing, continue on the same road, always signposted PR. Follow it for 800 m until the "T" crossing. Take the right path for 800 m as well. Back to point n°2, turn left, following the sign "Chapel St Gabriel 2 km" Follow this marked path GR® on 1 km, then join the first junction. Turn left and return to the starting point.

Back to the Carrières de Lumières car park, take the road on the left, and go directly left on a road marked PR. Continue down this road until the D27 Turn right and follow this road to the entrance of the Baumanière hotel. 1- Cross the road to reach a Department sign and take the path marked PR. At the fork, follow the path marked PR on the right. At the next intersection, turn right and then left just before a Canadian crossing. 500 m further, join another intersection and its Canadian crossing.2- bifurcate to the left on a tarmac path marked PR. Pass the Sainte-Berthe Mas and continue until the D27. Cross it, then after 150 m take path on the right marked PR. Follow it for 800 m until you reach a crossroads. Cross it and continue straight. At the next intersection keep left and join a hairpin bend. 3- At the bend, take a path marked PR on the left, preceded by a hard-wired barrier. Climb this track in laces for 3 km. At the intersection marked with a cairn, turn left on the track marked GR®, following the sign of the Department "Les Baux-de-Provence 3.7 km". At the next intersection, stay on the GR®6 and follow it for 1.7 km to a cistern. 4- 100 m further, go down on the left the marked path PR, indicated by the sign of the Department "Les Baux-de-Provence by the Val d'Enfer 2 km". At the next junction, continue straight until you reach the D27 road. Follow it to the left to find the starting point.

At the end, go down the stairs and follow the road on the left. At the intersection, follow the road to the right in direction of Maillane. Ignore the path on your left and join immediately after a crossroads near a buried cistern. 2- Take the marked GR® trail on the left and follow it to a DFCI barrier. Climb the very wide path on the right leading to a panorama. Go down the path on the left. Follow the road on the right for 200 m to reach the pierced rock. Return of the descended path by foot. 3- Turn right on the path, follow it for 500 m, and find the intersection of point1. Go down the path already practiced in the other direction and join the end of agglomeration sign. Follow the road towards the Carrières de Lumières and take the marked road PR on the right. Follow it on 200 m. 4- At the level of the stone, engraved ""Le Val d'Enfer - les Portelets", take on the right the way with the feet of the rocks on a few meters, then to return on your steps. Continue on the marked road PR, until the small parking of the old school of Les Baux On the left of the school, go up the concrete road to join the D27. 5- (Caution, traffic) Cross the road and climb the stairs on the right to a parking lot. Once on the parking lot, climb the paved street, pass a fortified gate and cross the town center of Les Baux to reach the starting point.

Once through the door of the ramparts and the last steps, continue straight and leave the ecomuseum on your left. At the next intersection, turn left. 2 - Once out of the village, turn right and climb the road. Go straight to reach the D27a and follow it until the car park from the starting point.

Turn left and continue until the intersection with the D17 in the heart of Maussane-les-Alpilles. 4- Cross the D17 and continue on the way to the pine forest. At the crossroads of the D78c, take it on the right. Continue to the center of Paradou and the intersection with the Belle Croix road. 5 - Turn left on Belle Croix road and continue for about 5 km until you reach the D33. 6 - Turn right towards Fontvieille, until you reach the junction with the D17a. Cross this crossroads and continue towards Saint-Etienne du Grès 7 - (Caution!) At the intersection with the D33a, turn left and continue using the coloured shoulder to the Saint Gabriel chapel. 8 - Just after the chapel, turn right on the D32, always towards Saint-Etienne du Grès. Cross the village, past the town hall. 9 - Before the exit of the village, take on the right the little path of Notre-Dame-du-Château. 10 - After a small bridge, take on the left the path of Calanquet. Continue for 700 m then at the crossroads with the D31, turn right and continue to the center of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. At the church, turn right to join the departure car park.

Pass a barrier and go up the valley called "Gaudre de Valmouriane". After a series of laces, you get to a crossroads. 3- Take the GR®6 on the left towards Les Baux (from this point follow the GR® signs to the car park from the starting point). At the pass, join the D27. Cross it and continue 500 m on an asphalt road, on the left. After the orientation table and a barrier, continue on a track. 4- Pass the watchtower, leave the Lombards track on the right (panel), then DFCI no. AL 112 on the left. Continue for 1.3 km then turn left into a valley and return to the starting point.

This cross announces the path leading to the Romanesque chapel Notre-Dame-du-Château. This is mentioned for the first time in 1180 and was restored around 1419. Erected on the hill Saint-Michel-de-Briançon, it dominates the village of Saint-Etienne du Grès, former parish of the city of Tarascon. It was a priory chapel dependent on the Abbey Saint-Laurent of Avignon. Since 1350 she welcomed the "Belle Briançonne", a statue of the Virgin to the Child very famous from the Tarasconnais people.

Located in the Lèque valley, the Saint-Peire-d'Entremonts chapel is a medieval building of the twelfth century. The Montagnette is a 6 000 ha massif whose relief is of low altitude (150 m approximately), but relatively abrupt. Dating from the Neocomian secondary era, 70 million years ago, it is marked by a series of hills and valleys essentially oriented north-west / south-east, parallel to the axis of the mistral. With a significant agricultural and pastoral activity, the Montagnette massif has a relatively low afforestation rate (30%), mainly composed of Aleppo pines.

The Atlas cedar is a coniferous tree of the Pinaceae family. It is native to the Atlas, mountainous massif of North Africa. First introduced in public gardens, it grows naturally today in the south of France. Also known as blue cedar or silver cedar, Atlas cedar is a tree with a majestic and imposing look that can reach a height of 30 to 40 meters. If its shape is pyramidal when it is young, it becomes tabular when adult.

Native to Minor Asia, the Provence Cypress has acclimatized very well around the Mediterranean basin, until becoming one of its symbols. It can reach 20 to 30 m high and 2 m of tower, it withstands -20 ° C and tolerates a relative drought. With a size between 32 and 40 mm, the White-fronted Dectic is one of the largest Orthoptera present in Western Europe. His diet consists of various plants and small insects. A bird's eye view allows to observe, the Lèque valley with its isolated dwellings and its large pine forest that extends from north to south. Further, this decor gives way to agricultural plots that go to the Val d'Enfer des Baux-de-Provence, and in clear weather, it is possible to see the summit of Opies, the Alpilles highest point. On the right stand two reliefs that close this valley, including Mount Valencia and its 234 m.

Typically Provençal, the term "roubine" designates a secondary canal. The Alpilles territory benefits from the proximity to the Rhône and the Durance. Since ancient times, man has sought to divert and funnel these rivers to deliver the water needed for his crops. La roubine de la Faubourguette is a secondary canal that extends the Pourrie roubine in the area of Breuil and finishes its course in the Vigueirat canal.

The flambé is a large triangular butterfly, with a wingspan of 50 to 70 mm (the male is smaller than the female) and recognizable by its large hovering flights. Its name comes from the coloring of its wings by black bands. Flambé lays eggs from April to August. The black larva becomes green after the second moulting. It winters as a chrysalis, then flies from late March to September. There is one, two, or three generations a year.

The Aleppo pine is common in the Alpilles. Indeed, beyond the fact that it enjoys low altitudes (900m below) and the Mediterranean regions (hot climate, dry soils, lots of sun), it has the distinctive feature of growing very quickly. This is why we can see its presence after a forest fire, because this is the first variety which will restore the landscape. Highly flammable, its bark was once used for tanning hides or dyes.
